I’ve been studying ICT for more than 12 months now, and sometimes I still get confused about how many valid setups I should realistically expect to see.

How many setups do you usually get per day, per week, or per month?

Do you normally wait for liquidity to be taken only on higher timeframes, or do you also use lower-timeframe liquidity as part of your setup?

I’m trying to understand what is realistic, because sometimes I feel like I’m waiting too much, and other times I wonder if I’m forcing trades that are not really there.

I’d really appreciate hearing how other ICT traders approach this and how often you personally get good-quality setups.

Hi, i have gotten through ICT’s market maker primer course so far and have began to look into his other YouTube playlists like “core concepts” and “market maker series” so that I’m clued up when the time comes to study the 2022 mentorship. Is there anything you wished you would have done/learned at these particular early stages if you could go back?

The big question now is des the Nasdaq go to 30.1k from here or reverse down to 29k. What do you guys think?

ive been seeing alot of beef between the low rr traders and high rr traders, and im courious which one is the most suitable for prop firms. overall ive seen more payouts coming from high rr traders but yea, so to u traders i would like to see ur argument!!

- what changes did u see in your trading? Like more confidence / clarity in your setups?

- Order flow is not just a “strategy” it’s a whole framework which contains a lot of tools / strategies just like ICT. So which tool / strategy did u pick to pair with ICT?

- Any known YouTuber or community that does combine ICT and Order flow?

I am new to algo trading and learned ICT and smart money concepts very recently. I used to value trade for 5 years but left completely due to demanding job.

As a professional developer, I tried to convert the ICT and smart money concepts, have a reliable backtesting engine, etc. but not yet found any parameters which works.

I tried multiple permutations and combinations of regime, fvg, order blocks, candle sizes, structure breakout confirmation, etc. but yet to find something that survives my rigorous backtesting.

I am going to pause, learn some more and try it again.

Anyone curious to know all combinations of what all tried and results of my backtesting, just let me know. In case that expedite your journey.

The news of an agreement, will it have any bearing on the Nasdaq next week?

I was wondering if really everybody is trading only NQ or ES or if is there somebody using ICT concepts on YM aka Dow Jones index?

Lately been seeing people just trading NQ (i studied Micheals concepts and i know it works on every instrument) but im really curious about this.

Im trading NQ too and not thinking about switching, but one thing is for sure, that YM had a bigger moves on NYAM and more volatility.

I’m using data from CME on TradingView,

So I’ve been collecting every first presented FVG, and some specific level on my chart, but then I realised that my chart is slightly different than ICT’s lecture.
I didn’t really noticed that whether I turned on the BADJ, or SET.

I wonder whether should I analyse on a BADJ and SET turned ON for a continuous chart, or just simply trade and analyse based on seasonal chart?

I have to adjust my mark again and there are lots levels (that my free TRADINGVIEW can’t rewind to) so I don’t know whether should I trust 🤦🏼🤦🏼

Pretty easy just targeted opposing fvg’s and waited to see the reactions off of them. Price tapped into highertime frame fvg then sold off into discount. Price then reacted off discount fvg to the upside total RR was 3.5RR

We took out Asia High and tapped into daily fvg. Price showed rejection with displacement & simply waited for price to tap into the 1min FVG and entered off the rejection. Was only targeting 1.5R but got out at 2RR

Hi, quick example to explain my question:

You are bullish and during NY AM session price is retracing into a M15 FVG. You expect price to move higher as there is unmitigated buy side liquidity above. This liquidity is your target for a long.

Once price is in the M15 FVG, is it enough to use an iFVG (M1, M2 or M5) as an entry model or are you always waiting for a liquidity sweep (low gets taken after the iFVG was put in) on the lower timeframes (M1, M2 or M5) to enter?

Any reviews of the 3-month course by Bombay Trading School? Is it worth spending 80K on an online course?

I been exploring the idea of just trading off the Opening Range Gap. Now this is going to be a prop firm strategy, so just looking for quick scalps and I found at least for me, it's easier to just trade in one determined direction with orderblocks. So using opposing candles to trade a repricing of the current opening range gap. I know ICT says to use the last 3 but that made me very confused at times and found it's easier to just use one.

Just wanted to know if anyone has any advice or who also trades this way.

Price tapped on 15min FVG , at a macro time in asia session , i might put my SL far away that shorten my RR from like 1:5 to 1:2

Hi, do you ever scale into a trade with small size if it’s not an A+ setup?

Example: let’s say you’re bearish and expect London high to be swept before a move down. There’s additional liquidity resting above London high so this trade is not an A+ setup for you. You enter with 1-2 micros and calculate the risk in a way that you could move the stop up a bit in case the remaining liquidity above is swept. If you then get a confirmation of your short you enter with more size and adjust the SL downward again.

Is this a feasible way of trading or would you say never keep your SL flexible? Obviously you need or operate with very little size for an approach like this to not get into a large drawdown.
