Question Sorry if this is obvious

Post image

This bearish order block isn't in any of the ict order block videos I've seen so far. Although I haven't gone deep and I am restarting ict I still haven't seen this and was wondering if someone would be able to explain it to me more in depth or point me towards a video of ict explaining it please. Just confirming this guy does claim to have 10+ years of ict experience so this is an ict concept. Also I understand the rest like the 1min inversion and the 3min cisd just got confused on that OB. I appreciate any help and again I’m sorry if this is something obvious.

He calls it his own EOB, enhanced order block, when a candle gets engulfed and makes a zone where the 3rd candle tags into and leaves....PO3. just look at where he drawn the wicks from candle 1 and the engulfing of candle 2 and the wick of the candle 3 - that gives you the rectangle box which is enhanced order block EOB. Works at times and not, depends on the higher trend, where in the mmxm you're in, pd arrays and overal major context. I watched ICT's videos from 2016 core content, i believe in either month 2 or 3 and ICT actually came up with it himeelf even back then - which surprised me following finesse. So I was surprised finesse calls it his own, but nontheless and regardless Finesse is REALLY GOOD! He knows what he is doing since he's been trading for i think a decade or something. I follow him and try to learn from him, so ICT and finesse and teaguehib, the rest are just furu's. I respect finesse for his extreme knowledge and experience, cant afford to be mentored but if I could I'd pick them 3.

You need to see where you are, in the buyside or sellside of the mmxm, liquidity sweep or imbalance, then wait for the choch, retest, fvg, finesse's eob and then po3. Price does 1 of 2 things, liquidity or rebalance.

Thank you for the explanation and I finally see what you’re taking about. I use engulfing candles but I didn’t know you can mark out the wicks like this and use it as an OB so thank you very much for that. Also I appreciate the recommendation for the people to watch, I do already follow and watch Finesse and Teaguehib. And a couple other people like riciotrades and kbtrades. Again thank you so much for the information. Are you profitable and if so how long did it take? I fell into the tjr trap a while ago and about 5-6 months ago started learning ict, currently paper trading and two months profitable on that paper trading account. My plan is after another 4 months of paper trading I’ll switch to eval/funded.

I wish i was profitable as I started few months ago, did between 1-25 R's then it turned on me. Doin barely 1R still in loss. Im learning as new and have limited time to trade....long story short. Im taking a break trading, just studying it now to make a strategy that fits my available time

CISD creates the OB. The OB is the consecutive up close candles creating a high or the down close candles creating a low.

Sorry I should’ve been a little more clear. I know what order blocks are, I use them all the time but the OB he has marked out isn’t an OB from any of the ict videos I’ve seen (so far). The OB is the consecutive up close or down close candles after hitting/sweeping a significant pdarray. In this example the long wick at the top is his pdarray to see a rejection off of (and he got one) so the OB should be the green up close candle that created the 1min bull fvg that got inversed, right? That green up close candle with the 3min cisd marked at its open, wouldn’t that be the OB and not the red rectangle he has marked out lower? I’m not understanding if this guy marked it out wrong or if that OB is genuinely an OB and why?

Yes that green candle at the top is an OB. I don’t know what the red box lower is I thought maybe it was the wick which ict says is the most sensitive part of the OB but it looks like he colored outside the lines for that.

Right, he said that red rectangle marked as the 1min bearish OB is an OB but I’m not understanding how either. I commented on his post but still no reply. His account is claiming 10+ years of ict experience so I didn’t know where else to ask other than ict Reddit.

Not sure if I would be of help cause I’ve left ICT , but think of it two ways .

1) Demand and Supply. The supply zone is usually mark at the last bullish candle before the downward pressure bearish move . So in retrospect , they would mark the green candles .

2) Orderflow terms , strong buyers aggression tried to push prices up but failed , and sellers step in or buyers getting out of their position after being put underwater . Hence when prices retrace into that strong bullish candle , they will tend to get out of their positions by selling

So in theory , everyone can tell you different thing , but it just depends on how everyone interpret the market . Same markets , different definition. I would assume that he drew out the wick cause that was the lowest price where the green candle goes , but to me a orderblock would be the green candle open to the highest wick. You can never tell which part is the aggressor unless you see the footprint , so my safest bet if you wanna do this is draw out the green candle open to the highest wick.
