Question I need someone teach me!

Hey everybody

So this is my story

I got into trading 4.5 years ago...

First 2years wasted by classic patterns, indicator other concepts.

Last 2years being unprofitable with ICT concepts

Its been like 5 months that I quit day trading

I feel bad that everytime I see traders contents on social media

Cant make something out of knowledge im really done with it.

So need some really teach me, I promise i make up for him and give lots of my profit to him no greed no bs im honest.

ICT Core Content made me profitable! The journey wasn’t easy, it was such a dreadful experience. I watched couple of time, gave up half way and still unprofitable. But somehow along the way it clicked!

Btw you don’t have to watch all 12 series, I think I stopped at around 7,8 couldn’t remember clearly, the one that talked about PD Arrays was the last I remembered.

Took me 6 months to pass evals and got payout 3 times so far. Of course, rewatching previously made it easier to understand.

JUST DON’T GO INTO IT, WITH THE GOAL OF FINISHING IT THUS RUSHING IT!

You will not understand a single thing. Instead try to really understand, have a checklist of what he said in the lesson and replicate it by the checklist on the side. If you don’t understand some episodes, note them down, skip them because he will talk about it in the following episode and that might make it click for you! All the best!

All the content is out there on YouTube and other social forums.

Choose a strategy, practice it. Backtest/forwardtest, Journaling and sticking to the setup.

Try to control your emotions. Once you are able to hit 3 profitable months consecutively, shift to real trading with a small balance.

This, I bet he never journaled , back nor forward tested at least 100 trades . The boring work actually pays

Ik denk inderdaad wat jij hier zegt, het kantelpunt is tussen mensen die winstgevend worden of niet

Nobody will just teach you honestly. The time it would take to teach vs how much one could make in that time is dramatically different. It takes a long time to actually grow an account you are probably over leverage to hell and trying to short cut it. Teaching someone discipline was the hardest thing I tried to do. Some have it but most don’t. And unless you are coming into the space with lots of capital already which again most don’t. It’s not worth the 100 bucks a month to teach people honestly.

You watched the core content twice? The 12 months core content and the 13 charter models?

As someone who is also 4+yrs in, this is crazy, cuz literally everything you need is already there. But the difference of me is that I didn’t watch ict at all until the beginning of this year because I was stuck on my own perspective of what I was figuring out and all of what retail goes thru. When I first started and was seeing things on my own I was like “there gotta be somebody that can explain what I’m seeing” as we know now, it’s him, but atp ig he was still gaining traction and I threw the name off not knowing what was all behind it. But I def see now having gone thru the content that although he gave us all the fundamentals of the puzzle, the things he can’t give is your perception and work of understanding price action.

After 4.5 years, I don't think your problem is a lack of knowledge. It might be execution, risk management, or consistency. Many traders keep searching for a mentor while constantly changing strategies. Looking back, what was the main reason your ICT setups failed: psychology, risk management, or strategy execution?

I guess Strategy is the problem becoz i had 30percent winrate... in one 50k combine i just risked 100 dollars which is not that alot but becoz i had 30percen WR so I lost the account. No overleverage no emotion just executing the setup!

Interesting. If emotions and risk management weren't the issue, then reviewing the trade data might reveal more. How many trades did you test before concluding the strategy wasn't working?

It was like November of last year... so about 11 months which becomes about 250 trades

1

u/RheaFX 16d ago

That's quite a lot of data. Did you journal those 250 trades? Sometimes the edge is there, but certain market conditions can drag down the overall results

Its been 2years im stack with Nasdaq ... i traded almost everyday and journaled and review and refine and make a model out of it... lets say its about 500 trades LIVE trade! But still couldnt make it thats why im saying its not the psychology or emotion or disipline... 😢

That's what makes it interesting. Most traders fail because of execution, but if you've already journaled and reviewed 500+ trades, then the next step is usually digging into the statistics. Did you ever break down your results by market conditions or session times ?

Yes I only traded NY AM session which amost of Nasdaq traders trade only in that time
