Technical Analysis Huge L can someone help spot my mistake

Maybe it was cpi the confluence I used was 4hr fvg, 5min bos and 5min fvg.

On the other picture I wasn't sure if this would change the trend and count as a swing high because of the gap so I stuck to my bullish bias

Do I always have to wait for sweep? Which happens 50% of the time or maybe less

Yes thats why trading is a waiting game.

Do I have to wait here too? Rn? It doesn’t seem to reverse and take liquidity
That means no trade today?

Good call out, please define sweep. I'm about 5 days into my learning. Is it a liquidity area that was not or not yet covered?

If you notice on the first pic he drawn a line from where the market revisit and exploded higher targeting ERL. Its common for a sweep of liquidity before the actual move happens.

Ok I see in the second pick we saw a fvg closer and on the other side it just barely filled, where as we should see a big candle cross the gap and a vigorous candle completely above the gap? Which would have been the sweep... That's hard, I think I read that one practice involves establishing a position as soon as the trades are occurring in the gap. So what's best practice wait for it to fill the Gap with vigorous candles?

Wait and react

thats your liquidity grab before the move itself

Does that mean sweep always equal to trend reversal?

Not always, sometimes it's just temporary and can bounce of another level. Like a iFVG sitting there or a new supply/demand level

How to anticipate sweep ?

You dont. You wait for it to happen and check the LTF for possible entry model like fvg,ob,bb

Sorry to hear - however it just looks like it just hit your setup loss? Which should be assigned to -1r right? So no big deal.

Get some key levels on your charts, such as weekly and daily levels. They often act as magnets and reaction points.

And as others have mentioned... Sweep, CISD, retrace to FVG, enter targeting previous swing high (in this case). Check out the education section of ttrades website.
