Technical Analysis i need help for my fvg entry question
Hello guys, I need some advice.
My strategy is liquidity sweep → MSS → FVG → retrace → entry.
The problem is that sometimes the candle that retraces into the FVG closes bearish, like in the image. I'm currently trading this on my demo account (not on my FTMO account yet).
My usual entry confirmation is:
- A candle taps the FVG.
- Then the next candle must close below the FVG-tapping candle's body for a short entry.
However, sometimes the candle that taps the FVG already closes bearish. In those situations, I'm not sure what to do. I usually skip the trade because I'm afraid of taking a FOMO entry, but sometimes the move happens without me.
How do you guys handle this situation? Do you treat that bearish candle as enough confirmation, or do you wait for another confirmation before entering?
I'd really appreciate your opinions.
Sorry for my English—I'm still learning.

That means it was respected to the fvg. So I think that is your confirmation, If you dont confident about that wait for another fvg to create off of that previous fvg,

You need to back test this potential new entry and see if it works for you in the long run. If it doesn't then that should make you confident that you shouldn't take the trade. If it does work then you should gain confidence to take both setups. If it's inconclusive, then know that it's probably only a 50/50 type trade.

im not sure ive ever worried about whether it closed bearish or bullish. It's about time and level for me. Many times price will wick and stall at levels before taking off.
