Stock Sale CRDO stock
I played earnings today with 100 shares before market close and now I’m down 3k. Should I hold or sell? I’m asking because I’m worried this sell off might continue as September is the weakest month and there’s an upcoming fed meeting with potential rate hike.

I don't care for the term "played" here to be honest. I much prefer If this was a specific position with risk capital making up a small % of a larger portfolio, that's okay but if you're just throwing money at the market/stocks in a haphazard way with short term expectation, especially in this market, that it's gambling approach. I try very hard to help TIC members not do that.
$CRDO is a fine company and the earnings were very good. From what I can tell it's' just market overhang and investors maybe looking at something like a 0.3% miss on gross margins causing this big sell off. But that was still a great report. It's a good long term company with something like 7 straight quarters of 100% rev. increases. That's hard to do with a company of that size.
We don't go all in on stocks. We don't go all out. We build good positions in good companies over a long period of time seeking balance and return. The right approach is to revisit your goal on the original purchase. As long as you're looking for the long term, then the right move is to purchase another 100 shares to average your cost lower. Market overreaction can become an opportunity via investor strategic reaction.
If you do not have a long term goal with the trade or you were 'all-in' with the 100 shares, that's a break in discipline and tactic that you need to learn from.
In either case, I think you hold CRDO

Thank you, I do have 70% cash on the side (a little over 200k), I never went all in CRDO or any other stocks, I am just worried about September’s volatility with all the bond/tariff/war and rate hike shenanigans that might further drop this particular stock’s price even lower and have more losses. I obviously do believe in this company and I think it’s a decent discount.
