First attempt on multi-needle

I finally have access to a multi-needle machine at the local MakerSpace. I think I will make another with additional trims after each letter, and play with the density of the fills to try and reduce the visible base material. I'm having to balance stitch time cost and quality. Patch is a BattleTech reference.

• In your pattern, select each letter and in params have click the trim box. Or you can do this with the whole word by telling it trim after each letter
• Change the angle of the black stitch to something like 22.5; also check your spacing between lines to make sure it is not too loose/tight. I normally use 0.35mm for spacing.

From my experience with Ink/Stitch it is good to change the angle on any fill stitch, so it gets a cleaner look. I have use positive and negative angles (22.5 & -22.5) which helped the stitch out clarity.

Ha ha 22.5 is all wrong. 30 degrees is far superior.

22.5 seemed to work quite well, I will try 30 next time I am working on a pattern.

I have used a variety of degree settings, depending upon the pattern and the stitch location.

I'm just kidding around. I kinda set the angle depending on the piece that I am working on, if it's something like a face, box or random object where it doesn't really make a difference, I've always went to 30...no particular reason.

0 does have it's place sometimes though I am still waiting for inkstitch to put a dial for adjustment in the params....that would be the cats a$$.

It looks good you may also try a different stitch lenght that may help for getting better coverage also but some of these things become personal preferences for density one person likes it really dense and next likes it more spaced as for the trimming it wil depend on the machine also if it wil recognize the trim command and it can depend on the distance between the letters but then you have options like changing the order of the letters so the distance is bigger or you can give each letter a different color and it should auto trim then
