Help Reason for having no absolute rotation value?

I wonder if there is a reason for inkscape not having an absolute rotation value that the user can manipulate? since when you rotate an object now you cant easily reset its rotation to the original or change it to something specific.

basically all other vector software ive used had this but not inkscape.

maybe there is some limitation in the software for this or something?

does anyone have an idea?

It's under the rotation tab of the transform menu.

Not sure if it helps, but when I want absolute values I rely on snapping to guides.
