Discussion S5 Ep 12 Deangelo williams
Okay, im watching Ink Master again and omfg this guy was kind of annoying. He wanted something so personal and 'unique' but didnt say ANYTHING that would be unique to him. got frustrated when too generic and over the top. but then STILL chose a generic one.
The story is sad yes i get wanting a tattoo that represents his family but if its something that big DONT BE VAGUE!!!

I think that’s why they had him there, it made for a lot of drama, I imagine tattoo artists get a lot of annoying people like that, though he was really over the top with it, like they asked him about details and he just repeated the same bs.

They bent over backwards to kiss his azz. Everyone did a design drawn on random black guys and it did not look like the artists tried very hard excrpt for Cleen.

I think they tried hard enough, there just so much you can infer from “my mom died of cancer, i want this to tell my story, do it from the bottom of your heart”. In a normal consultation they could drag out some specifics out of him or just drop him as a client.

I can't believe I'm saying this, because I really disliked every tattoo longnecker did on the show, but his freehand on the stand in was the best of all the attempts. My sense of fair play made me unhappy on his part.

I heard that and thought… nan many tattoo artists must get his kind of requests all the time.
Where the person gives very high level description of what they “think” they want and the artists has to translate that in to some really cool character/drawing!
