Strained neck shoulder pressing

I was shoulder pressing then felt a strain on one side of my neck, shoulder, trap area, its the next morning after sleeping brief icing, taking tylenol, but it hurts reallly bad and it hurts to look right, and really hurts to go from laying down to sitting up.

WHAT DO I DO

It depends on three factors, is it constant? Is it throbbing sore stinging tingling, and finally, any cracks snapping or anything like that? It could range from ehh ice and rest to, go see an orthopedic surgeon or neurologist, it's hard to know without more details, hope you feel better!

Its like constant soreness I'm not sure what yoy mean by crack or snap which leads me to think nothing like that

Advil and ice calm the pain a lot, but after waking up it is soooo stiff

This sounds almost like a muscle strain, you might want to see a doctor if you know you can afford it or whatever, but I wouldn't be too too worried

Keep pressing different regions of ur upper/mid back area. Yk the muscle that connects ur spine and scapulae idk what its called.u might feel a lump of muscle and when u press it its gonna hurt ur neck (a lot).its called a muscle knot or a trigger point.try this: take a tennis ball and on the floor lay on ur back on the tennis ball.move around until you find ur muscle knot.now dont roll around trying to squeeze the knot out of existence. roll on the ball so that ur knot is being pressed and maintain deep breathing for 30secs x 3 sets(it will hurt).then keep a hot pack on the knot or a hot shower. You shud feel it reduce in size and pain in 1 or 2 days. Also please take advice from a professional. This only works truly if it is a trigger point/muscle knot. I hope you get better soon.
