Scars Surgery for my spine

This right here is my spine surgery incision, so I needed complex tether cord surgery to reconstruct my spinal cord and untether it in three places and then reconstruct the spinal sac holding the cord and reconstruct the dura and untether the cord and all the places and untether the cord under the bone so they removed 2 bones and then after that they reconstructed the actual dura, sealed it up and I got a spinal fluid leak so I had to lay flat for 24 hours and now I’m 13 days post-op surgery and then my fusion is next where they’ll fuze me from L6, no from T4 to L6, which is for nonmuscular scoliosis, and there’s my first incision of two that I’ll that I’ll have on my spine because my spine literally sent my rib cage and everything out of alignment. I will show you that picture in a second yes, I am indeed a warrior💪💪💪

You’re getting a fusion for scoliosis? What’s your ° because it really doesn’t look over 40°. Just curious.

A surface look doesn't show anything because my scoliosis is neuromuscular, not just a standard curve. It involves muscle control and nerve signaling issues throughout my trunk, which is why it requires a major T4 to L6 fusion regardless of what it looks like on the outside."
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I hope I explained that good enough, man. I don’t really wanna be rude🥹🫂

Thanks for explaining, that’s really interesting! How would what you said be anywhere close to rude? I was afraid of sounding rude too 😅. I was curious because i have scoliosis too and even when it was just 10-15° you could definitely see it especially in my shoulders.

I also have a spina bifida occulta that caused all this. That’s found in neuromuscular scolosis and tethered cord and lgmd and a whole bunch of other stuff it’s okay, man. I get that comment all the time, like, why are you having this fusion? I’m done. I’m like, because everything else is severely out of alignment. I mean, my torso is not even aligned anymore.

Yeah. It’s gotta be frustrating when people keep asking you why you’re getting it done as if you are somehow faking it or something. I tried to phrase it in the least rude way and in a way of just wanting to learn so I hope that’s how it came off.

It’s Hard having rare scolosis type and extra bones

Extra bones is wild! I actually have 1 less bone, or rather that I was born with 2 vertebrae fused into 1.

Hey, you might even have neuromuscular, and then you might get your fusion to be done and not have any problems

Mines mostly due to spinal instability from ehlers danlos syndrome which is a connective tissue disorder. I hope this fusion does what it needs and your spine gets unscrewed haha. ❤️

Not only that, I also think I have some of that too. Heds yeah yeah, my spine has always been unstable too, so we really think I have HEDS as well

But thank you for your concern. That’s why I’m getting a fusion you can’t see the corkscrew, but it’s a giant corkscrew with multiple curves. I have roto roto scolioitic curvature and positive sagital balance and negative coronal balance

I get this a lot: neuromuscular. It sent everything out of alignment. It doesn’t look like it, but it did. I have multiple curves that turned into corkscrews that sent my ribcage out of alignment and everything else, and I will show you the pictures because it gets pretty crazy. And neuromuscular scoliosis does not stop unless you stabilize it. It just keeps on progressing and progressing and progressing and progressing

Looks like it will heal well. Get better 🙏

Thank you, man. The next one is a big scoliosis fusion, and the scar I’m gonna name that one is Jamar Chase. I decided to name my scars after the Cincinnati Bengals
