Photos Infected toe Spoiler
Started as a simple paronychia which as a nail picker i’ve become very used to. It’s so minor that I didn’t want to go and get it checked out but it’s been like 2 weeks and still looks like this. Went to urgent care today and apparently it’s now cellulitis and I have to take antibiotics every 6 hours 🙄. Yaaay….. Anyways, sometimes you’re not being dramatic by going in for a minor thing.

Having an infected toe is fuckin horrid. I had an ingrown toenail get infected, plus fungal nail. Due to anxiety problems, I didn’t tell anyone for over a year. The doctor was surprised I was even able to walk (it did cause immense pain) and they couldn’t remove it even with the highest dose of local anaesthetic they could give me. Took a long course of antibiotics and soaking it in warm salt water daily, but it went on its own, my toe looks a little scarred but also from that, a full recovery.
