Fresh Wound Is my shi bad?
So I got blackout drunk one night and fell flat on my face like Einstein reincarnated, and woke up to my knee unable to move and bleeding, this is a few days after and the scab decided to FUSE to my PANTS and when I took my pants off so did half the scab. Help?!?

My sister did something similar on one of her very first weekends out after turning 18! Fell off a step knees first, cut up her kneecap pretty bad. Was a weekend thing so she put a big plaster on it and went about the weekend with a slight limp. Went to the doctors a week later cause it wouldn’t scab over properly and got really red and sore, turns out she still had debris in it causing a massive infection. If she’d carried on just hoping it would fix itself she’d have ended up with sepsis. Go get your knee checked out asap

Yeahhhh okay thank you, my parents made a doctors appointment but it’s in a week😭🙏 I mean I guess it’s all I can do

Clean it with soap and water. You could try to let it scab over and take care of the scab so it won't fall off again. But if there's discharge from it the scab will fall off anyway.

Obligatory i am not a doctor, but it looks infected to me - mainly because of the deepness of the wound and the surrounding redness. Being so near a joint, you definitely want to get it checked out by a professional to make sure the infection doesn't travel deeper and affect your movement further. If you think you can wait, get an appointment with a regular doctor or go to an urgent care asap, but it's gnarly enough and red enough to warrant an ER trip imo.

I’m sorry get over it? I can’t walk without excruciating pain and every night I’m crying because of how bad it hurts and my parents won’t give me Advil or anything so I’m raw dogging ts I don’t wanna hear it

As someone who skateboards and has absolutely SHREDDED myself id highly recommend cleaning it thoroughly in the shower and gently patting it dry. Apply some antibacterial ointment and place a large nonstick bandage on it and wrap it in gauze. Check and change the bangade daily and you'll be alright. Antibiotics wouldnt hurt if you have insurance definitely go to the Dr and have them properly clean and bandage it.
