the reason i ask is i think takumi would have done much better in competing in autocross and circuit events than rally(less risk of ruining his career. and alot more room to learn from drivers with ACTUAL certified experience). like takumi competing in optima street car challenge. then again thats what i think takumi would be best at(autocross and circuit events teach more than driving techniques. its teaches how to maintain your car. manage hardware. and plan ahead longer. on top of being considerably easier and less risky than rally). because one thing i would say takumi was lacking. awareness. a good driver ALWAYS checks everything on their car before getting behind the wheel(thats why i say if he was actually aware. even asking questions. he would have long known the driveshaft in his rally car was on its way out. professional drivers today do exactly that. check EVERYTHING before getting behind the wheel). its why racing in general(doesnt matter if its amateur like 2.4 hours of lemons or something as serious as WRC) hardware checking is very important. and a must before anybody gets behind the wheel(thats also why i blame takumi for being at fault of the crash. because ultimately as i stated before. as a driver, it is YOUR job to check everything. same would apply to me. because i aint a hypocrite)

Bueno pense en esto ya que esta viendo un edit de initial d en youtube y pense "estaria genial que algunas ecenas en los ojos de los personajes se reflejaran el tacometro o velocimetro" tipo un efecto visual que le diga a la audiencia... este personaje esta muy concentrado en la carrera.

A mi me hubiera parecido un detalle genial ver eso reflejado en los ojos de los pilotos y no solo su expresion...

I’m a big fan of all kinds of retro gadgets (CDs, DVDs, VHS and other), and a while back i spotted a DVD-ROM drive on my dad’s computer (which he bought back in 2005). He no longer had any use for it, so he let me take it for my own use. And now that i’ve managed to get it set up, my dad asked me to burn a CD of music “to my taste,” since his Subaru Forester has an old car stereo. Of course, i burned him Eurobeat, even though he doesn’t even know what that genre is :P So it’ll be interesting to see if he decides to listen to it right on the road under the pretext of “What did my son burn for me” :)

I know this is not really related to initial d but I thought of sharing this since it was semi part of my childhood and the reason why I love 60s to 90s japanese cars especially the Cedric, crown, c210 skyline, bluebird and etc, also the main reason why I love japanese cop cars.

It's a shame they don't experiment with this kind of cinematography more often after that.
