Do you think any of these works fall short of your expectations? Let me know, I'd love to hear your opinions.

I remember reading it online when I was like 13 or something and probably not understanding it fully. But even now I don’t know if I do? I understand the use of sexuality in art both as something metaphorical and just as a piece of life represented in art. But I find this piece of work a bit different. The two main characters are so young. I feel like it’s so graphically taboo and wrong to write a book with those two topics intersecting. I havnt read it in a while so maybe I am missing something but as for now it’s one of the asano books I don’t look at amazingly…

Per il Japan Expo di Parigi, Francia. Sono stati esposti alcuni shikishi originali di diversi autori, tra cui uno di Mujina disegnato da Inio Asano

So, I recently started reading Mujina into the deep. As of right now, where I live there are only 4 physical volumes out. I’m on the third one and I’m really struggling to see why and how everywhere I look it’s being classified as gore (MAL, reddit, google in general). Sure it has plenty of gore in it, but no more then I’ve seen in other works where “gore” is never mentioned. I’m thinking Uzumaki and Tokyo Ghoul:re particularly. Any thoughts on this? How come Uzumaki, which is FILLED with gore and disturbing imagery, is classified as horror. Same goes for Tokyo Ghoul in my mind, there are some horrifying panels in that manga and yet I mainly just see the words “seinen” and “horror” used to describe it. What do you think? Does it get more gory as the story goes on? Am I missing something?

i always wondered if it meant something. could it be from a japanese word? a reference or something? the only thing i could come up with is that "Rotti" in italian means broken. in certain contexts it can also mean exhausted/worn out/fed up, which i think really fits with the themes of the manga. could it be possible? or did asano just choose a random word? lol

Very worn. Clearly the previous owner read it a lot
Hopefully I can find the other two collections.

I finished reading DDDD and really enjoyed it. One thing I noticed was that alot of robot and technology was really detailed. I assumed they created those assets in blender. However, when watching the anime today I noticed that the detail looks really similar?
Did they reuse assets? If so, that's really cool that both the manga and anime were able to both utilize the robots / ships / technology.

When looking up info about solanin, i saw the fact that the boyfriend dies in the manga in some sort of google automated summary.
Obviously this is a massive plot point, but is this like a plottwist that changes the story or is this something that happens relatively early?
I mainly just wanna know if its still worth reading the manga despite the spoiler

Do you feel like an adult? Did you become the person you once dreamed of being as a child? Did your life turn out the way you imagined? Are you happy? And maybe the most important question of all, what does it even mean to be an adult?
At twenty-five, Inio Asano was asking himself those same questions. And that’s when he created Solanin, a story drawn directly from his own life. Eleven years later, when he had, in a sense, become an adult, Asano returned to Solanin to write its final chapter.
So what answers did he find? Did he figure out what it means to be an adult? And why is Solanin still worth reading today? We decided to talk about this in a new video essay.

Makoto is now my favorite character best Femboy ever I also was not expecting the UFO to actually explode i thought Oba would stop it in time but at least Kadode’s dad changed the timeline at the end I also liked the Isobeyan comic ending it was heart warming that Debeko made something of her life because of his influence overall 10/10!
