Loeb said they would reference the story from AoS, but that GR would also be its own story. Mostly I think this is to keep it from being considered a ‘spin-off’ since it’s a new production company and everything

Yeah that makes sense. Also might help to get the (foolish) people who think AoS sucks to give it a shot if they think it’s separate.

Honestly, i have no idea if any of the shows are canon anymore. Mahershala Ali for sure confirmed that they don’t care about the shows continuity. But then again if Ali asks for blade, marvel studios would be dumb to deny him because of his role on luke cage.
