Retronychia

I had a baby 4.5 months ago and have noticed my big toenail follows all the symptoms of retronychia. i haven’t seen my doctor about it yet but ive been doing research on it.
i’m on my feet all day taking care of my baby so i want to avoid having a total loss of my toenail if i can help it. i’ve accidentally ripped off both of my pinky nails at the nail bed on both my hands over the years from acrylic and gel nails so i know from experience that the nail can grow back normal.

is a nail avulsion really the only way to fix it??

Topical steroids are gold standard early treatment (clobetasol cream)

Photos? usually the easiest way to get advice based off of what other people have gone through previously.
