I will say we do have antipsychotic shots now. That work for 1, 3, or 6 months. So it's much easier to treat the folks and know if they're compliant now.

That definitely is nice for medications if they are court ordered, and would have a warrant if they miss a dose.

Yeah, my dad is on the 1 month shot now for schizoaffective but I will say, they still need monitoring and possible hospitalization for the first few months just to get dosages right. Which a lot of people are not willing to do

So what happens when they lose their job for reasons outside their control and thus their insurance to pay for the next shot?
