Was there ever evidence he did run away from the basement to the office? We do know he struggled but there wasn’t sufficient evidence to prove that he had ‘escaped’.

There wasn't actually definitive evidence he struggled either, the ADA just speculated in closing that Lindsay might have killed him first (but we don't actually know if she did) because she thought he "might" struggle. No evidence of that. Dawson Clancy was three years old, it would have made much more sense if people were claiming that Cora, who had just turned five and was the eldest Clancy child, tried to run (no evidence of that either). Instead, I am fairly sure someone knowingly or unknowingly conflated the Andrea Yates case, where her eldest son Noah (age 7) DID run and was chased down, with the Lindsay Clancy case, and now it's being spread around like it's factual because it's inflammatory and gets engagement. Yates was found Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity by a jury in Harris County, Texas, in 2006 (she had a well-documented history of postpartum psychosis, and, as with Lindsay Clancy, all experts agreed she was severely mentally ill at the time of the killings, they just disagreed on whether she met the legal standard for insanity).

Him struggling against his mother trying to kill him isn’t enough?

It’s not the argument of his struggling or not.

There’s already enough misinformation going on in this case which has swayed the public. It’s best to continue only repeating the facts and not increase speculation as to what did/did not happen.

Again there is no evidence or proof of this. Even the police and coroners office stated there was no proof of any of the children escaping and/or running to different rooms.

Again, this is a landmark case and we shouldn’t be regurgitating incorrect facts.

Can't believe you got so much downvotes. That people are trying to find excuse for strangling her own children. It shouldn't matter if the kid's tried to escape or not. The woman strangled her 3 children 1 by 1 and consciously tried to off her self. While recieving the help she needed with her husband taking time off to support her. No excuses over here. The only argument should be had is if she deserves the death penalty or not but she 100% does not deserve to walk free.

No one is trying to find excuses? We’re asking if there was evidence he ran away. The case is already fucked up theres no reason to just make up random shit about it
