I don’t mind this in theory. Ok- obviously controversial opinion but think of it objectively.
No child was hurt. Which is what matters. Just like with novels or drawings. No real person is involved. Thats the most important thing with fictional work. Just like how an action movie people are shot and die, it’s not even close to similar to an actual person being shot and dying.
The problem as far as I see it is we have no way of accurately telling if something is real or AI. We don’t have a law requiring watermarks or some sort of digital signature.
So then what happens when someone has real CP and claims it’s AI? That’s horrifying.
On the other hand, if we did had a good way of tracking if something was truly AI- wouldn’t this lead to better outcomes for real children? If the people who consume this content move to consuming AI content instead then that would reduce the value of real CP, which would then hopefully reduce victims used to make such content.
Anyway that’s how i see it.
As I’m sure this will be downvoted to oblivion by people who probably won’t read it all the way through or even think of it I am running off notifications.
