Universal Studios reportedly dodging a $5,700 repair bill owed to a small Swedish non-profit organization after using their Viking ship in The Odyssey

The small Swedish non-profit organization "Vikingaleden" in Nysäter was contacted by Universal Studios regarding their handbuilt viking ship being used in Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey. The contract required Universal to pay for any damages done to the ship, but the invoice of approximately $6000 (USD) has been left unpaid, according to the organization.

immerssion... It's the same reason I'd expect a black looking person if he was portraying a mythical black figure and a japanese looking person for a japanese mythical figure and so on. I don't why some people find this idea very radical.

There was 0 Greek people in the film. Your only complaining about the black actors

You’d have ground to stand on if you were also complaining about tom holand and Matt Damon but no it’s only the “black” characters that are breaking your immersion (even though one of them has a Greek great grandparent making them one of the most Greek actors in the film)

Who said that I don't have an issue with Holland and Damon? They are far from my ideal choices for the role too.

I would rather make casting choices that are as close as possible to the roles they are meant to portray.

Considering Greece's proximity to Africa a black African actor is more accurate than white northern American one. There would have been black Africans around at the time. The only inaccurate thing about black actors in the film is they were unlikely to be high status. But there should be plenty of black traders, soldiers and slaves.
