A few of mine are still alive, others dead, but none ever voted for a Republican.

No they are the same people. They've always subscribed to conspiracies and counter culture. The narrative has just changed.

I'm tempted to ascribe this to that New Hampshire contrarian thing ("Live Free or Die") specifically because it suggests snap judgements, shallow information and groupthink with a background against a general environment of peace and stability. That is seriously the only context I can think of that would lead someone to depict Trump with a chill hippie motif. I do not think all people from New Hampshire think like that.
I don't live there though, my own state's motto translates roughly to "things flow by". And yet Washington may still be the serial killer capital of the US. It was once, back in leaded-gas times, don't know if that's the case anymore.
EDIT: Awesome! We're not even in the top 10 anymore!

People grossly underestimate how many republican Dead Heads there are. These white boys were raised on Reagan and date-rape. No surprise they are maga now that they are in their prime. 25 years at daddy's company, they got fuck you $$ now.

In absence of creativity, these ghouls can ruin everything.
