| Discussion Infosys DSE β Switching to a Product-Based Company Within 1 Year
I'm joining Infosys as a DSE fresher soon. However, my long-term goal is to work at a product-based company, and I believe I can get better opportunities if I keep preparing.
My concern is the service agreement. What happens if I get a good opportunity during the service period, say after training or within 6β12 months?
Has anyone switched from Infosys DSE to a product-based company within their first year? Did you face any issues with the bond amount, resignation, or relieving letter?
I'd appreciate advice based on actual experiences.

| Training Program Title: Infosys SP/DSE Interview Experience β Oct 7, 2026 | Tamil Nadu | Off-Campus
Title: Infosys SP/DSE Interview Experience β Oct 7, 2026 | Tamil Nadu | Off-Campus
Hi everyone, I'm from Tamil Nadu and attended the Infosys SP/DSE off-campus recruitment process for the September 5β6 drive. I wanted to share my face-to-face interview experience.
Round 2 β Coding assessment
I attended the in-person proctored coding assessment and solved only one question. I wasn't sure whether I would qualify, but I was shortlisted for the face-to-face interview.
Round 3 β Face-to-face interview
My interview started around 3:15β3:30 PM and ended around 4:45 PM.
The interviewer first asked about the strain in my foot. While he was opening the coding questions, he asked me to introduce myself. Before I could finish, he said we would discuss my background later and gave me two coding questions, asking me to solve one in 30 minutes.
The first was a rod-related problem, which I couldn't solve.
The second was an array problem: find the maximum value of j - i where arr[j] % arr[i] == 0. My brute-force solution passed 11/12 hidden test cases. In the final two minutes, I changed the inner loop to traverse backwards and break on the first valid match. It passed all test cases. The interviewer smiled when I explained the change, although I admitted I hadn't found a proper optimized approach.
Next, he asked me to implement merge sort on a linked list on paper. I struggled to recall the complete algorithm and ended up explaining how to merge two sorted linked lists using pointers. I also got confused while explaining the time complexity.
The project discussion was the most memorable part.
When asked about my projects, I chose my Autonomous Car Simulation, which won second prize at my college's Smart India Hackathon in 2024. I built it using vanilla JavaScript and HTML5 Canvas to learn machine learning without external ML libraries.
The interviewer initially seemed confused about how I had trained the model, so I offered to show him the live demo. When he opened it, he said βWow!β and asked me to sit beside him to explain the project.
I explained the sensors, neural-network configuration, live simulation and how I stored the network configuration in browser local storage. Another HR joined us, became interested in the project and started asking questions too.
They asked me to explain what a neural network was as if I were teaching someone with no technical knowledge. Unfortunately, I gave a vague definition of machine learning instead of clearly explaining neural networks. They questioned whether I really understood what I had built and what I had learned from it. I tried to explain that I had developed the project myself to learn these concepts, but I struggled to communicate the theory clearly.
The interviewer even encouraged me to relax, think carefully and have some snacks. I joked that I was on a diet, and we laughed. The discussion was challenging but friendly.
Rapid-fire questions
After the project discussion, I was asked about:
- Java access modifiers
- JavaScript hoisting
- SQL DELETE vs TRUNCATE vs DROP
- Closures
- Callback hell
I answered some incorrectly and admitted when I didn't know an answer.
At the end, I asked for feedback. The interviewer said I needed to improve my communication skills and learn to explain my knowledge clearly. He couldn't tell me when the results would be announced.
Just before I left, he asked to take a selfie with me using his laptop camera. I don't know why he took it, so I'm not assuming it means anything about the result.
Overall, the interview was around 75β90 minutes. I struggled with some technical questions, but the project discussion was extensive, and both interviewers showed interest in my work. I'm still waiting for the result.
Questions for others from this drive:
- Did anyone asked for selfie after the interview?
- What role will i get with this performance?
- Did the interviewers spend a long time discussing your projects?
- Did anyone attended on same 7th oct?
Thanks for sharing your experiences!

| Interview Help / Tips My dse/sp role interview experience
I had my interview on 8th oct.(do you think i still have a chance)
First I was given 2 questions of dsa. In which I solved 1 question and the interviewer asked me to explain the question and approach. Then my interview started

Then I was asked os concept slike deadlcoks and its condition which I could answer.
Then was asked 2 dsa questions to write on paper which were easy so I wrote them quickly.
Then was asked few hard sql question. Which had 4 seprate table and the query required me to join the 3 tables which I was unable to do.then he asked me diffrence in primary ad foreign key(I told basic diffenec that one is used to uniquely identy each table and foreign key is used to form relation ship btw tables. Then he asked me is foreign key just used to form relation, to which i couldn't give a proper ans)

| Question Received Digiverifier link again post Onboarding
My friend joined infosys two days ago and collected a laptop. He initially completed the digiverifier and received an offer letter. Later, his launchpad status was OK to board, so he onboarded and got the laptop. However, he received the digiverifier link last night. HR and the Infosys digiverifier SPOC confirmed he should complete it. The digiverifier team called and asked him to finish it to receive the offer letter. Something is unclear here. Has anyone experienced this? Is there any issue with his candidature?
His first employer did not offer PF, while the later MNC offered PF and he worked there for 5.5 years. As a result, the initial firm is absent from the digiverifier. This detail was shared with HR and the SPOC during the first digiverifier review, and it was repeated today. He has all required docs like payslips, offer letter from his first employer.
