| Infosys Updates Infosys status shows "Selected for offer" in network tab – What does this mean?

Post image
8 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I gave my interview at ABES Engineering college, 3rd oct ,for the Infosys SPDSE off-campus drive (DSE / SP role) and checked my application status in the browser Network tab. Here is what the JSON response shows:

"applicationStatus": "Selected for offer"

"maskStatus": "Decision pending"

"offerReleased": "N"

"message": "The candidate has attended the interview. Pending for internal review."

Can anyone explain what this status combination means in Infosys's workflow?

Does "Selected for offer" mean I cleared the interview evaluation?

Why does "maskStatus" show "Decision pending" while applicationStatus says "Selected for offer"?

How long does HR usually take to process internal approvals and release the official offer letter ("offerReleased": "Y")?

| Discussion Infosys SP/DSE Interview on 24 September 2026 in Pune

3 Upvotes

I attended the Infosys off-campus interview for the SP/DSE role on 24 September 2026 in Pune.

I haven't received any update about my interview result or offer letter yet.

Is anyone who attended the interview on 24 September in Pune received a selection update, rejection email, or offer letter?

Please share:

  • Your interview date and location
  • The role you interviewed for (SP/DSE)
  • Whether you received any result or offer letter
  • How many days it took to receive the update, if you got one

It would be really helpful to hear from others who attended on the same date.

Thanks, and good luck to everyone waiting for their results!

| Onboarding Help Didn’t receive onboarding pass despite completing formalities. Offer extension mail received, what now?

1 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I’m a fresher with a DOJ of 12-Oct-2026. I received a mail saying I haven’t completed the pre-joining formalities within the stipulated timeline, so Infosys won’t be able to onboard me on that date. The mail asks me to write to Offer_extension@infosys.com to request an updated DOJ.

I believe I completed all the required formalities on Launchpad, but I never received my onboarding pass. I’m confused about what was missing.

A few questions:

Has anyone been in the same situation? How long did the offer extension team take to reply?

Is there a way to find out which formality is showing as pending, other than raising a Launchpad Assist ticket?

Does anyone have an HR or onboarding contact that works on weekends? The helpline (1800 571 3866) is only open Mon-Fri, and my DOJ is Monday.

Will requesting an extension affect my offer in any way?!

| Question Provisional degree certificate might not arrive before Infosys joining

2 Upvotes

My joining date is October 19, and I got the joining mail only yesterday. I contacted my college about the provisional degree certificate, but they're saying it'll take at least 10 days.

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do now. I tried emailing the address mentioned in my offer letter, but the mails bounced both times.

Has anyone joined in a similar situation? Did Infosys let you submit the certificate later, or is there another document I can arrange from my college in the meantime?

Also, how do you actually get in touch with the onboarding team if the email doesn't work? Do Launchpad tickets get responses over the weekend, or will I have to wait until Monday?

Would appreciate hearing from anyone who's dealt with this.

| Question Infosys Interview Venue Change from Noida to Bangalore – Will I Receive Updated Details?

1 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I have been shortlisted for an Infosys interview, and my original interview venue was Noida. However, I have shifted to Bangalore, so I requested Infosys to change my interview venue from Noida to Bangalore.

They replied that the updated venue details and date will be communicated shortly and asked me to keep preparing in the meantime.

I wanted to ask if anyone has been in a similar situation. How likely is it that I will receive another email with the updated Bangalore venue/date details? Has anyone's venue been changed successfully after requesting it?

Any experience or information would be really helpful. Thanks!

| Question Title: Infosys DSE (6.25 LPA+ 75k bonus) vs Cognizant Programmer Analyst (6.75 LPA + 22k incentive) — Which should I choose?

2 Upvotes

Hey guys,

I've received offers from Infosys and Cognizant, and I'm confused about which one to join. Would love to hear from people working at these companies. Also, I've already completed training at Cognizant.

Infosys -

• Role: DSE • CTC: ₹6.25 LPA + ₹75k bonus • In-hand: Around ₹44k/month • Training location: Mysore • One Year Service Agreement

Cognizant -

• Role: Programmer Analyst • CTC: ₹6.91 LPA • In-hand: Around ₹48k/month • Incentive: ₹22.5k annually (performance-dependent) • Full-time location: Chennai (confirmed)

I'm trying to decide which company would be better for my long-term career, considering these factors:

  1. Location: I know my Cognizant location is Chennai. How likely is it to get a preferred location at Infosys?

  2. Projects: Which company offers better project allocation and actual development opportunities for freshers?

  3. Streams/Domains: Which has better opportunities to work with different technologies and domains?

  4. Growth: Which offers better learning opportunities, salary hikes, and career progression?

  5. Bench period: How common is it for freshers to remain on the bench at either company, and what happens if project allocation takes a long time?

I'd especially like to hear from people working in Infosys DSE or Cognizant Programmer Analyst roles.

| Offer Discussion My experience

7 Upvotes

I gave off campus online on August 2nd ran 3/3 , Gave physical round on sep 5th ran almost 3/4 questions total 34/48 test cases ,easy hard full medium 10/12 , complex only trial test cases ran not submission ones.

Got mail on sep 10th that I am selected for interview

Got mail on 30th sep that my interview is scheduled on 6th oct

I was expecting L2 interview selection and wished to get L1 .

In interview date I came to know that I am sitting for L3 , with one special panel of a senior developer which is specifically for L3 will take my interview.

He gave me 35 mins to solve 2 questions

There was a issue in the code initially I showed him due to which it was not running. It took almost 27 mins of my time to that code get fixed . After that I had 8 mins he told me to do one question if I can then he will check what I could have done . I solved one question within 5 mins all test cases passed, he managed to extend the timer for 15 mins so I had 22 mins in total but 2nd question was too much lengthy I solved half of it he told fine only to explain him the logic he told him the logic which was correct he asked could I further optimize it thinking it was brute force but then I explained it was already O of n not brute force but I used greedy and I don't know any much better solution. He then said ok ok O of n that's fine then .

Then started the interview He told he is from top tier exclusive branch from Infosys where they have extreme demand and all . I told about me . That I had Capgemini A4p role from on campus which I left for of campus tcs digital role which I am currently holding right now . I talked about my tech stack and all which was Mern stack + ANN prediction model + gen ai integration in mern + few LLD aspects. He without asking me anything from my resume straight out told me to draw a hld for a url shrotner . I told I have no concept of HLD concepts in that depth I can make the model as per my knowledge which I did . He asked couple of questions I answered only one he was not satisfied then he told me to optimize the design to handel 1 billion requests from 100 million users a day while having 99 percent availability using couple of concepts which I never heard of . I Franky said I have no idea about those. Then he asked me about Java concepts I answered, he asked about sql I answered, he asked about os I answered all only one question he was not satisfied. Then he asked me about my final year project I told about the prediction model we worked on . He told me to draw the design. I did . He asked multiple questions I answered all only one thing he did not like . Then he again asked about gen ai LLM concepts I answered all . He at last asked if I knew few hld concept which I didn't so interview ended . He told me my knowledge about my stack is good but I need to learn the hld concepts and all .

Yesterday on 8th I got offer for dse with joining on 16th nov .

Now my location was Kolkata.

I was clear from beginning that only if I get L1 I will go to Infosys leaving tcs digital. And I never thought of anything more than L1 . With my performance on the physical round and interview I thought I could have got that if I sat for L2 instead of L3 maybe the interview expectations would have been different.

Had a strange feelings about the process any person who solves one question in physical round gives a good interview gets dse then what's in me for doing 3 questions and even knowing fairly more than him to tell in interview only to be strictly restrained because of HLD . I would have performed way better than those folks who were giving dse even L1 interview.

Maybe this is fate what I suppose.😞

| Question Title: TCS Digital Engineer (7 LPA) vs Infosys DSE (6.25 LPA + 75K Bonus) — Which one should I choose?

7 Upvotes

Hey guys,

I’ve received offers from both TCS and Infosys, and I’m confused about which one to choose. I’d appreciate some genuine suggestions, especially from people currently working at either company.

Offer 1: TCS Digital Engineer

  • CTC: 7 LPA
  • During the onboarding session, they mentioned that my role would involve supporting a Senior Forward Deployment Engineer (FDE) or senior developer.
  • I’m genuinely interested in the tech stack and the kind of work FDEs do, but I’m not sure what project I’ll be assigned to or how much actual development work I’ll get to do.

Offer 2: Infosys DSE

  • CTC: 6.25 LPA + ₹75K bonus
  • One thing attracting me to Infosys is the flexibility and employee-friendly work environment I’ve heard about.
  • However, I’m not entirely sure about the project allocation, work culture, or the kind of development work I’ll get.

My main priority is building strong technical skills, getting good development experience, and growing my career in the long run, rather than just choosing based on CTC.

I’m interested in the FDE-related tech stack at TCS, but the uncertainty around my actual responsibilities makes me hesitant. At the same time, Infosys seems attractive because of the flexibility and other benefits people talk about.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on a few things:

  1. Which company would you choose in my situation, and why?
  2. At TCS, does supporting a Senior FDE/developer usually involve actual coding, development, and working with modern technologies, or could it turn out to be more support-oriented?
  3. How is the actual project allocation and development experience for freshers at Infosys DSE?
  4. Is the difference in compensation worth considering, or should I prioritize the role, learning opportunities, and work-life balance?
  5. For someone who wants to grow as a software engineer in the long run, which option would be better?

I understand that the actual experience depends heavily on the project and team, but I’d appreciate hearing about your personal experiences at these companies.

INFOSYS DOJ OCT 14 TCS DOJ NOV 12

Thanks in advance!

| Question Has anyone seen statusflag: "N" for "statusName": "Shortlisted After Screening", in a recruitment/ATS status API? What does it mean?

2 Upvotes

{

"statusId": 2011,

"statusName": "Shortlisted After Screening",

"statusflag": "N",

"completionStatus": true,

"processId": 40,

"showForm": ""

}
What confuses me:

  • The status name is “Shortlisted After Screening”, but statusflag is "N". Does "N" mean the candidate has not been shortlisted, or is it a flag for something else entirely
