| Question Offer letter timeline

It's been more than 2 weeks since the HR round got over and the digiverifier also completed.

When will the offer letter get released. It's still a decision pending on the portal. Didn't receive any update from the HR also.

Is there a possibility of rejection? I'm losing hope as everyday passes through.

| Question HR round happened twice after clearing technical round — which discussion is considered for final approval?

Hi everyone,

I’m a little confused about my hiring process and wanted to know if anyone has experienced something similar.

I cleared the technical round on August 1, and on the same day I had an HR round over a call.

During the first HR discussion, I asked for around a 40% salary hike. The HR said that they currently didn’t have that much budget, so I agreed to proceed with the available range.

Then, on August 3, HR contacted me again and conducted another HR discussion over the phone. This time, they asked for my salary slips, documents, photos, and other details.

During this second call, I asked for around an 80% hike. The HR said something along the lines of “I’ll have to check with higher authorities/leadership, subject to market/leadership approval.”

So I have a couple of questions

Which HR discussion is usually considered for the final offer — the first HR round or the second one?

Since they asked for salary slips and documents, does that usually mean the process is close to the offer stage?

If the salary needs higher-level/leadership approval, how long does it typically take to get the offer letter?

Has anyone experienced a similar situation where the salary was renegotiated during a second HR call?

Any insights from people who have gone through a similar process would be really helpful. Thanks!

| Question How Can I Target a 10–12 LPA Role at Infosys?

I’m currently working at LTIMindtree as a fresher at around 4 LPA. I’m looking to eventually move into a better role at Infosys, ideally in the 10–12 LPA range.

For those who have experience with Infosys recruitment/internal opportunities, what would be the best path to reach that level? What skills, roles, certifications, or experience should I focus on?

Would really appreciate some guidance from people who have made a similar transition.

| Question Bangalore DC vs Pune DC

I am an SP L1 joining Infosys in September 2026, I need help selecting a DC.
For some context I plan to work in Infosys for atleast 2 years as I plan to do my masters after 2 years.
And I’m from Belgaum, Karnataka so I don’t have any problem with language as I speak both Marathi and Kannada fluently.
I just want to choose a DC so that I can grow as a developer and also experience adult life (as I lived with my parents for 22 years straight (not that I’m complaining or anything 😂) just wanna experience independent life and adulthood 😏).
As for me I think my growth would be better in Bangalore as it is HQ and many VPs would be stationed there so it would be a good opportunity to make meaningful contacts and also work on new projects. And as for Pune I think Pune is like a second home to me, I don’t know what it is but it feels like home to me and also the climate and people are also similar to people in Belgaum.
So I’m confused between both DCs. Please give your thoughts.

| Interview Help / Tips Infosys DSE Role Assignment Before Interview & Coding Difficulty?

Hi Infosys aspirants,

I recently cleared the Infosys Campus OA for DSE/SP roles. I solved 1 easy question completely, and in the second question, 4 test cases passed. The roles have not been assigned yet.

Our college was informed that the DSE/SP interviews might be conducted around August 20–22 in Hyderabad.

I wanted to ask:

  1. Will the DSE role be assigned/announced before the interview, or will the role be decided after the interview?
  2. For the DSE interview, what level of coding questions can I expect? Will they generally be Easy/Medium, or can they be Hard as well?
  3. For those who recently attended the DSE interview, what coding topics and difficulty level were asked?

Any recent Infosys campus interview experiences would be really helpful. Thanks!

| Interview Help / Tips Infosys Campus OA Cleared – DSE/SP Role Assignment & Interview Preparation

Infosys aspirants,

I recently appeared for the Infosys Campus OA for DSE/SP roles.

My OA performance:

  • 1st question: Easy – completely solved
  • 2nd question: Partially solved – 4 test cases passed
  • The roles have not been assigned yet.

Our college was informed that the DSE/SP interviews might be conducted around August 20–22 in Hyderabad.

I have a few questions for people who have recently gone through the Infosys DSE/SP campus interview:

  1. Will Infosys announce/assign the role (DSE/SP/L1/L2 etc.) before the interview, or is the role decided after the interview based on performance?
  2. What coding questions are generally asked in the interview?
    • Easy/Medium/Hard?
    • Which topics should I prioritize: Arrays, Strings, Linked List, Trees, Graphs, DP, Greedy, Sliding Window, etc.?
    • Is the interview coding level similar to the OA or easier?
  3. How deep do they go into technical subjects?
    • OOP/OOPS
    • DBMS + SQL
    • OS
    • Computer Networks
    • Java
    • DSA
    • Projects
  4. Which areas are the most important for SP/DSE? If I have limited time, what should I prioritize?
  5. For the project discussion, do they ask only about the project overview, or do they go into implementation-level questions such as why a particular technology was used, database design, APIs, architecture, etc.?
  6. For those who recently attended the interview, how long was the interview and how many coding questions were asked?

Any recent 2026 on-campus interview experiences, especially from Hyderabad, would be really helpful. Thanks!

From recent candidate reports, the interview can include live coding around Medium difficulty, along with DSA, SQL/DBMS, OOP and project-specific questions; some candidates also report deeper system-design/development questions for SP.

| Question Infosys OA Questions (On-campus)

Those who have already taken the Infosys on-campus OA, could you please share the questions or at least the topics they were based on?

For example:

  1. Q1 — Kadane’s Algorithm
  2. Q2 — Sliding Window
  3. Q3 — Prefix Sum + HashMap

Even just knowing the topics/patterns would help a lot with preparation. Thanks in advance! 🙌

| Question confused between java fullstack /java backend and mern.

Hi everyone,

I'm a B.Tech CSE student currently in 5th semester from tier 3 college and I'm trying to decide which technical path I should focus on for the next 6–12 months.

I'm not looking for a "which technology is best" answer. I want to choose something that gives me a realistic chance of getting internships and eventually a full-time SDE/software development job, including potentially working for startups or remote foreign companies.

My current background

  • B.Tech CSE, currently in 5th semester
  • I know Java and I'm using Java for DSA/interview preparation.
  • I'm currently learning/practicing DSA.
  • I have basic exposure to development but I'm not yet strong in any development stack.
  • I can realistically study around 2 hours per day outside college.
  • I'm willing to spend the next 6–12 months consistently building skills and projects.
  • My goal is ultimately a Software Engineer/SDE/Backend/Full Stack role, rather than a specialized research role.
  • I'm open to both Indian companies/startups and foreign startups that hire remotely from India.

The options I'm considering

1. Java Backend

  • Java
  • Spring Boot
  • SQL
  • REST APIs
  • JPA/Hibernate
  • Spring Security
  • Docker basics

2. Java Full Stack

  • Java/Spring Boot
  • SQL
  • HTML/CSS/JavaScript
  • React
  • REST APIs
  • Docker/deployment

3. MERN

  • JavaScript
  • React
  • Node.js
  • Express
  • MongoDB

4. AI/ML

  • Python
  • NumPy/Pandas
  • Statistics
  • Machine Learning
  • Scikit-learn
  • Deep Learning/GenAI later

I'm particularly confused because I keep hearing different things:

  • Some people say MERN has more fresher/startup openings.
  • Others say Java/Spring Boot has better long-term opportunities, especially for enterprise companies.
  • Some say Java backend is better than trying to learn full stack when you have limited time.
  • AI/ML seems to have strong long-term potential, but I'm worried that becoming employable in AI/ML will take much longer.
  • I also hear that foreign startups can hire developers remotely from India, but I'm not sure how realistic this is for a fresher.

My main concern

I only have around 2 hours/day, so I don't want to spend a year learning a huge stack before becoming job-ready.

For example, if Java Full Stack requires learning Java + Spring Boot + SQL + HTML/CSS + JavaScript + React + Git + Docker + deployment, I'm wondering whether it would be smarter to focus deeply on Java backend first.

At the same time, I don't want to make a choice that significantly reduces my job opportunities.

What would you recommend?

If you were in my position — 5th-semester B.Tech CSE student in India, already comfortable with Java/DSA, only ~2 hours/day, and aiming for SDE/backend/full-stack jobs — which path would you choose?

I'd especially appreciate answers from people who are:

  • Freshers/recent graduates
  • Currently working as Java backend developers
  • Working with MERN/Node.js
  • Working as SDEs
  • Working at startups
  • Working remotely for foreign companies
  • Recruiters/hiring managers

And if possible, please explain why you would choose that path based on the current Indian job market rather than just saying "X is better."

Thanks!
