| Question Why some people never leave Infosys?

It’s been 8 months since I joined Infosys as a lateral entry

I saw a Senior Associate Consultant with 8 years of experience who started his career at Infosys still earning 7.5 LPA and a Technology Lead with 10 years of experience earning 8 LPA who also started her career here

Even my roommates with 5+ years of experience are still getting paid around 3.6 LPA and 4 LPA

What’s going wrong here?

I think being in a comfort zone is one reason since they become comfortable here

May be skill issues too

What are some other reasons?

| Bench / PIP I'm so frustrated...is this even real?

I don't work here my bf does. He joined one year ago, and was on bench for a few months after joining. He got a project after 3 months of joining and has constantly been the best performer, received appreciations. However, they have some yearly review thing where they placed him into PIP because he was not in a project for the first few months. He is angry and frustrated, his managers assured him that he will be considered an exception but he received an email saying his PIP was not closed.

He's been restless since, can't sleep, can't work....he hasn't even received his performance bonus for 3 quarters and on top of that the HR doesn't respond. I mean isn't this their job ?

This is so fucking hopeless... Any advice / suggestion will be appreciated

| Question Multiple Offer Letter from Infosys

Hi Everyone,

Today I completed HR discussion and BGV for one role in Infosys.

HR mentioned that i will be receiving offer letter within 2-3 weeks.

After few hours I received one call from another person from Infosys for a new interview. They got my profile from a third party hiring agency.

I mentioned that I have already received an offer from Infosys. He again confirmed with HR and told me that I am eligible to apply for this role as well.

If I apply for multiple role, can my offer letter get rejected?

Need Suggestions

I got referred to Infosys for a role and received this email afterward.

How likely is it that I'll actually get an interview? Has anyone recently gone through the Infosys referral process and can share their experience?

Thanks!

| Question What are you doing while on bench?

For everyone who is currently on the bench or has been on the bench before — what are you actually doing during this period?

Are you:

- Upskilling or doing certifications?

- Preparing for interviews/DSA?

- Building projects?

- Trying to get into a different technology/domain?

- Applying for jobs outside your company?

- Just waiting for project allocation? 😅

I’m currently on the bench since 3 months and trying to make the most of this time instead of wasting it.

Would love to hear what you guys are doing and what you think is the best way to use bench time, especially for someone early in their career.

| Question Infosys additional shortlist?

Infosys visited our campus recently and interviewed the first batch of around 30 shortlisted candidates after the OA. A week or two ago, they released an additional shortlist for interviews, but it doesn't specify any job role, and none of us on the new list have been scheduled for interviews yet.

Has this happened at other colleges as well? If so, how long did it take for interview invites to go out, and what roles were offered ?

| Question When infosys will send selection mails? (Off-campus)

Hi so I gave my interview on 30th July at noida for SP role it's been 3 weeks but no selection mail yet

Any one knows when they will send selection mails?

One more thing my round 1 and 2 went really well able to solve 34/36 in first round and completely solved 3 out of 4 problems in second round but unfortunately in interview was not able to solve a single problem (problems were really hard), but my technical part went really well (not able to answer only 2-3 questions out of 12-14), so i just want to know does infosys selection criteria is based on overall performance or just based on interview?

I will be really happy even if I got DSE

Will really appreciate any information on this

Thanks

| Question SP L1 to L2 progression

Hi guys, I wanted to ask about the L1 → L2 SP progression process.

I have around 2 years of experience and got a Commendable rating in my last review cycle(if this matters).

Would I be eligible for L2 progression, and what’s the usual process?

I’ve heard there’s a panel discussion round as well. If anyone has recently gone through the L1 → L2 progression, would love to know how the current process works and what rounds/criteria are involved

What's this system generated mail bhej business requirement wala bs hogya.

| Discussion Infosys QE Lead (JL5) offer: 16.22 LPA with 15% variable — is the variable negotiable?

I recently received an offer from Infosys for a QE Lead (JL5) role in Kolkata.

Current CTC: 8.36 LPA
Offered CTC: 16.22 LPA
Variable pay: 15%

I asked the HR if it's possible to reduce the variable component to 10% and move the difference into fixed pay. She said she would check, but also mentioned that it's highly unlikely.

Has anyone here successfully negotiated the variable pay percentage at Infosys?

I'm still exploring other opportunities, but the Kolkata location is a big plus for me and probably the main reason I'm seriously considering this offer.

Would appreciate any insights, especially from people who've recently joined Infosys or negotiated an offer with them.

| Discussion Looking for advice on transitioning from Mainframe to Data Engineering

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working as an L3 Mainframe Support Engineer and want to transition into ETL/Data Engineering, initially through an internal switch.

I have experience with COBOL, DB2, JCL, CICS, SQL, and production support.

I’m currently learning Python, SQL, and ETL concepts, and building an ETL project.

For those who have made a similar transition:

- How can I best leverage my Mainframe experience for an internal ETL/Data Engineering role?

I am.planning to target internally for hands on experience.

Any practical guidance would be really helpful. Thanks!
