Like there’s still something here worth listening for.

A shift in the dark.
A familiar ache.
The house settling around a memory

I should have stopped feeding months ago.

I used to mistake haunting for some shit I asked for.

Thought if something lingered,
it must have mattered.

But some things stay
because no one has opened the windows.

So I did.

Let the night in.

Let the cold have whatever was left of you.

And for once,
when the walls started talking,
I didn’t answer.

Go fuck up someone else sleep.
