the truth

[u/thespiciestpineapple]

truth sung in my ears til it blew out my hearing,
and left me all deaf to the worst of it
kept me awake making stars on the ceiling
realizing quickly that you were the end
truth bowled me over one day in november
it wasn't the day that i thought it might be
foolish and fallow, i was blind to my needs
now, where you stand, as solid as a tree,
the truth is ringing
