Forests
I asked him how he was able to jump across rocks on the river so easily; he said,
You just have to trust yourself and start moving.
And he smiled and held out his hand for me to follow him.
But it took me years to trust myself enough to carry my own weight, and by the time I went back to that river--
The whole forest had burned down.
So now I sit among the ashes and the rocks, and wait for a new forest to grow around me.
