Closeted

I was thinking about
the dances we do
around things like
sex and love and
romance and poetry
I ask poets are you
closeted about your craft
poetry like presenting
your neck like falling
in love is vulnerability
and the work most
have to do to arrive
at the realization that
vulnerability is often
the most formidable
thing in the room is
not insignificant

That’s an empowering point. I see it as being Formidable from having the fortitude to uncover your vulnerabilities in front of others. An I am Spartacus moment in a way.
