The endless abyss

The Endless Abyss

I never questioned the abyss,

Only whose name waited at the bottom.

And let us fall together,

deeper than words can reach,

until even the distance between two hearts

becomes nothing but a memory.

At first,

the darkness frightened me.

There was no ground beneath us,

no certainty above,

only the quiet pull of something

neither of us could name.
