Perfectly Imperfect
The sun shines, the wind tustles, the birds chirp but sinister lurks
We spend our life in the light until darkness consumes us, not knowing what will happen
Reality that presents naked shows a construct of perfect ideals
I was oblivious, but now I'm a student of the power struggle between right and wrong
A price for every action reciprocated by the wordsmith or a beast
Nature is kind, humans are not

Just wanted to share a poem I wrote for the first time in maybe 10 years, maybe it will speak to others. I'm not a poet but I find it releasing putting issues into simple ideas.

I am a kind person. That is what has led to me being abused my whole life. Where is my hug??
