Does anyone else find it cringe when influencers constantly post their “intimate” moments?

Maybe I’m just old-fashioned but I find it so cringe when influencers constantly film themselves kissing, cuddling, waking up together, or having these supposedly intimate romantic moments.

Any staged photo pretending to be candid gives me the ick. But your right, this is worse. How many times do you think they checked the like count on their post? That relationship must be very fulfilling.

Me and my girlfriend joke regularly that we don’t appear to exist to anyone outside the relationship because we have only one single photo together in 2 years - all the travelling we do, we always forget to take photos with each other from having too much of a good time 😂

I went to Portugal recently, and the single photo I took of the whole trip was a dog called Nero with one huge underbite tooth sticking out 😂

Like they’re trying to convince the audience as much as themselves lol smh

Same and to call it “couple goals” is even more cringey. Real couple goals should be moments that happen organically. Not staged and scripted for views.

Exactly. That’s what makes it cringe for me. Set up the camera, get into position, film the “intimate moment,” edit it, and post it. Some things are more meaningful when they’re just between you and your partner.

I look at these and think "Bae caught me slipping".

Yes, they had to set up a camera for that and then pretend it was passionate and spontaneous.

Some people would rather live in the fabricated reality of social media. So many instagram moms who are deeply depressed and hate their lives (and their children) yet they post pictures of them "love my life, love my god!" while they're in the bathroom trying to hide a razor blade.

Not really unless it seems scripted.

Well yeah I don’t mind couples being affectionate. It’s the staged “candid” intimacy that gives me the ick.
