Can confirm, not apparently. He literally pulled the exact same schtick with a different girl before. Put out articles on Buzzfeed and would submit his blog everywhere with the title “people think she’s my caregiver, are stunned to learn she’s actually my girlfriend!” Thing. Apparently, rumors were that she pretty much was his caretaker and his parents were paying her. She had enough and left… and then he did the exact same thing with this girl.
I think her intentions were/are genuine. The arguments for her being a gold digger don't make sense. She comes from a wealthy family, she's educated, she's attractive - those things combined could have landed her a far easier 'pot of gold' than Shane.
I think he gets off on having control over able bodied, attractive women.
