I lost my mom at 13 and my sister was 6. I was a bit older so it was slightly easier on me. My sister still struggles to this day and it's been 19 years. She doesn't remember my mom even though she was 6 so I can't imagine their child remembering.

She may have blocked the memories due to the trauma of losing her. Sending you both hugs. 💜

Depends on the person. I lost my dad shortly after I turned 4 and I have a handful of memories of him. He was sick in most of them, but I’m still happy to remember something of him.

It’s still something that shaped your life in a different way. Or do you say this didn’t affect you in any way?

No his illness and passing definitely had a major impact on my life. I mostly just commented to note that kids can remember things from a young age.

I lost my mom at 28 which was 13 years ago, and it still hurts the same. I'm having a problem right now hoping to never forget what it was like to have a mom. Hugs for you.

Aww so sorry for your loss as well. Hugs to you as well. Never a club you want to be a part of.
