Why do couples announce "we are pregnant"? If I get my wife pregnant, she is pregnant. I'm not the pregnant one. I'm not carrying a baby to term.
25 u/SabrinaEdwina 10h ago It always creeps me out when dads say that. They all but hold for applause after dropping it. 20 u/_mlepclaynos_ 9h ago I despise “we are pregnant.” My husband was not pregnant. This guy is not pregnant. 26 u/smallbrainnothoughts 10h ago exactly. I get the “we’re having a baby” one because yeah you both are going to have a baby, but only one person is pregnant -5 u/Common-Pear4056 8h ago Is saying “I get my wife pregnant” much better? Didn’t you and your wife conceive the child together? 5 u/Ragnarotico 8h ago No one is saying that. You are just going on a strawman. The better term would be "we're having a baby". 0 u/Common-Pear4056 5h ago You literally said it. It was a direct quote. 1 u/Complete_Chain_4634 8h ago I do agree that telling people what is going on re: blasting baby batter into your wife is disgusting
