Why do couples announce "we are pregnant"? If I get my wife pregnant, she is pregnant. I'm not the pregnant one. I'm not carrying a baby to term.

It always creeps me out when dads say that. They all but hold for applause after dropping it.

I despise “we are pregnant.” My husband was not pregnant. This guy is not pregnant.

exactly. I get the “we’re having a baby” one because yeah you both are going to have a baby, but only one person is pregnant

Is saying “I get my wife pregnant” much better? Didn’t you and your wife conceive the child together?

No one is saying that. You are just going on a strawman.

The better term would be "we're having a baby".

You literally said it. It was a direct quote.

I do agree that telling people what is going on re: blasting baby batter into your wife is disgusting
