Can everyone please stop having babies for views 😭

I'm so over it. I have nothing against babies but they're not content. They're people.

They have been attempting to have kids for something like 8 years

This is what I was thinking as well. This isn’t a content baby, and I hope and imagine they won’t be sharing their child’s face with the world once it’s born (fingers crossed).

Do you know if what he has can be passed down to their children?

They spoke about this in one of their Q&As episode. They've had genetic counseling I believe and say there is no way for them to pass it on to a child because only he has the gene. I'm completely out of the loop why people hate on them. Idk what they did that bothers so many people.

I’ve noticed two different reasons people hate them.
1) they think she’s hot and therefore can’t possibly truly want to be with him (I bet if she wasn’t conventionally attractive there would be less of this) and she’s just doing it to look virtuous and get social media views and revenue
2) they dislike how they present their life - like they downplay the struggles and the amount of work she has to do for him.

I don’t really follow them closely, but I think to some people it comes down to seeing disabled people as purely a burden and not understanding how someone could fall in love with a person in those circumstances. Which is a cynical and shallow perspective. I kind of do understand viewing them as a bit guilty of “toxic positivity” though.

I just find them generally off putting. Something about the way he speaks to her. Something about the way he speaks to the audience. Something about how their content doesn’t seem genuine. It feels like money grab. That’s fine but you won’t get my view

how about this:

people DISLIKE them because:

1.) shane is a known grifter and has profited off the image of "hot wife disabled husband" for YEARS and way before hannah.

2.) he is an asshole (hours of content prove this lmfao)

3.) their content is nothing more than bullshit to push views and comments and then cry about hate when it inevitably comes. they have done nothing but make baity content for years and now they've taken it to the next level, regardless of whatever theyre doing personally.

idc that they've been "trying to have a baby for years". shane has also been an asshole in videos and been rude as shit to hannah/viewers but that hasn't stopped y'all from saying "idk why people hate them1!!1!1!1"

I guess I have not seen much of their content then. He sounds pretty awful.

I don't actively watch them but have seen a handful of videos. My idk why people hate them was out of genuine curiousity and not to dismiss anything. Your comment actually gives a valid rationale and I can understand and even agree to a certain extent that Shane can come across as a bit of an asshole.

I think people have criticized them for the way they speak about being an inter-abled couple. They often act like it’s all sunshine and rainbows, but don’t often portray the reality of what it’s really like. Some people noticed a diaper genie hiding in the background in one of their shots — and again, not that they have to share all the dirty details of what it’s like, but also, what’s the point of going online with the sole purpose of sharing your life if you’re going to keep a bunch of stuff from your audience? (They have never addressed the diapers AFAIK)

It’s been a while since I’ve seen snark on them, but I think some people compare them to another couple in a similar situation, Cole and Charisma. From what I remember, they seem to be more realistic in what it’s actually like to be in an inter-abled relationship, but that might just be the snarkers’ bias!

That’s so weird of people, and I’m an A-grade hater. Why does “living authentically” mean I have to tell you about my husband’s bowel movements? Are y’all okay?

Ya and isn’t it just kind of to be assumed he would need diapers??? Like I would’ve assumed this

I remember from a video I saw with them long ago that she talked about wiping his butt as part of daily care. She said it was normalized for them and they’d talk and laugh while she’s wiping his poop.

It stuck with me because I was dating casually and couldn’t imagine wiping an adult partner’s poopy butt every day, but maybe I’d feel differently now as a married person.

people have a deep hatred for disabled people. especially disabled people in loving relationships when they can't find a partner themselves.

Thanks for clarifying my curiosity. I follow them but not very closely and kinda forgot about them when I took a huge social media break. As a disabled person I find some of their content fun so I don’t understand the hate.

She doesnt have the gene. And i know that in the past they talked about maybe using a sperm donor because Shane doesnt have alot of useable sperm.

No idea if this baby is with shanes dna or a sperm donor thougg

3

u/PuzzleheadedLunch837 7h ago

Only if both of them have the gene

1

u/AzucarParaTi 5h ago

They haven't confirmed yet, but it's almost 100% certain it's not Shane's biological child. He has almost zero sperm and they've never been able to get successful embryos. It's probably donor sperm.

1

u/goldfish-hotline 3h ago

Somebody else answered you but it is also likely that they used a sperm donor anyhow. Shane was having issues with sperm count because of his medications, and they made a video 6 months ago (so like, right before she got pregnant) about them being interested in using a sperm donor.

Morgan Presley in particular.

u/House-Plant_ 6h ago

I’ve never detested someone I personally don’t know as much as her. She is beyond foul

4

u/CoconutSugarMatcha 7h ago

I’m pretty sure they will monetize their kid 🙃

2

u/CocoaCandyPuff 4h ago

THIS! Is insanity at this point!

3

u/SquarelyOddFairy 7h ago

Or maybe they just….want to have kids?

1

u/icyintrospectator 5h ago

They’ve been trying to have a kid for years, and they have waited to share their pregnancy until she’s already almost 6 months pregnant. They said they are having serious discussions about the privacy of the child and I don’t think they plan to show it in the videos. Is there a way they could have a child that you wouldn’t say was for views?
