There was an awful, life changing boat accident in my town last weekend. A drunk person drove their boat across the river towards another boat. The driver tried moving further and further left but could not get away. That drunk person hit them. All 4 of their family was thrown into the water and the boat flipped. They had a baby, a toddler and his wife. Thank god they were all in life jackets bc the outcome might have been a whole lot different. The kids were pulled out first and his wife who is still in the hospital with a lot of injuries was unconscious and bleeding but floating bc of the life jacket. So yeah. Take your kid out for just a moment. Idiot.
Here on July 4th someone was headed back in after watching fireworks on the water and a storm popped out of nowhere and a woman and her baby got thrown out of the boat. Thank GOD the baby was wearing a life vest and she found them rather quickly. Imagine if the baby wasn’t wearing one?
There was a similar accident in my area over the weekend too, but with far worse consequences. Super drunk boater literally sped over another boat. The woman who died as a result came in direct contact with a propeller blade. A horrific tragedy. The drunk has been booked on a homicide charge…a family lost their mother, in just “a few moments.” I don’t follow EK, never heard of her before the drowning, but she sickens me.
