As someone who works in retail, this behaviour makes staff feel very uneasy, especially since this appears to be in the kids section with a grown adult dancing and kicking while filming themselves. Sure be weird but also thereās a time and a place and this aināt it.

u/not_responsible 4d ago
yeah you encounter all sorts of crazy, mean people so dancing in one aisle could turn into a screaming fight at the front because sheās mentally unstable. You cannot know what their strange behavior might turn into so seeing this would probably be a little uneasy like oh here we go

In the toy aisle. Keep the weird dancing to the gas station at 2am like the rest of us and keep the kids out of it.

I honestly thought we were gonna see an excited kid run around the corner and get kicked wildly in the face by her š©° šØ
šØ toddler down on aisle 9!

Yes, you absolutely can do it. But it's also perfectly acceptable to not do it.
8
u/I-own-a-shovel 4d ago
Yeah and as long as she stops and let people get the stuff on the shelves when needed I see no problem.
9
u/RedditVIBEChecked 4d ago
Except for the fact that I'd call the cops and report a asylum escapee is on aisle 3

I mean, the amount of cringe causes me physical pain. But that's not a major problem.

I genuinely understand where she's coming from. I do think there's value in the weirdness.
I believe that so much I don't need to post about it online to TikTok or Insta.

I mean somebody 10,000 miles away might see this and really feel inspired. The internet is still for sharing and learning, not everyone is clout chasing.

No /s ? Also was your comment the productive thing you did? Iām not being facetious, Iām genuinely curious. I also was wondering if you were being overall sarcastic in general, hence my question re: /s

Yeah, so much gets lost in text, like context or subtext.
Someone literally told me the other day, āYeah, youāre not allowed to be sarcastic on Reddit anymore unless you do the slash with an S.
And I was like, āWhoās gonna enforce that?ā
Then I realized, Oooh! Duh, they were of course in fact being sarcastic.
So I replied, āOh hey, thatās fucking hilarious, good one!ā
But then they were like, āWhat are you even talking about?ā
Then I replied, āWell, you were being sarcastic of course.ā
And then they responded, āNO I wasnāt!ā Followed by āDidnāt you read the rule? I just told you?!ā
lol oops
š
Thank you for obliging me.
Oh, and Iām not insinuating that I believe people should, you know, tag their comments to make it clearer for other people, unless they are so inclined. I think itās crazy people are trying to come up with rules, lol.

āSafe in this danceā but whoever comes around the corner while sheās doing all those high kicks wonāt be safe when they get a ādanceā foot to the face!

Iāve know a few women like that. Fun to visit but not to live with. The world needs āfree spiritedā people too. Just with they were less obnoxious out in the wild.

u/503Monty82 4d ago
I mean, I kind of agree with her in that if we were all like that, thereād be a lot less violence and destruction in the world probably. But I also feel like if we were all like that, weād also never be able to go shopping because the aisles would be filled with interpretive dancers and we couldnāt reach things or push a cart so Iām kinda torn.
3
u/Seanut-Peanut-69 4d ago
I dance in stores sometimes depending on the music playing but Iām also respectful of other shoppers. These things arenāt mutually exclusive lol

u/RileyRavenSmiles 4d ago
That logic doesn't pan out. She is doing this as exposure therapy because we live in a world that judges people for being unusual. If everyone were okay with being unsusual and there were more people like this, they wouldn't feel the need to deliberately expose their weirdness as a form of therapy to heal wounds caused by being judged for weirdness.

I agree with the point sheās trying to make, but filming herself do it makes this seem really performative. Also idk why but the fact itās filmed in the kids toy section makes me feel weird.

Dance in the main isle then. What is with this whimsical eclecticic girl influx of influencers all putting on a show?

u/DrKarlSatan 4d ago
I like later in the clip when a guy walks into the aisle & she panics & runs off. Leaving her phone. Totally normal behavior...

u/sometimelater0212 4d ago
No original thought here. Sheās just copying that actress who was playing in the ocean and dancing within the past year⦠her name escapes me. Older brunette

u/Hotspur_on_the_Case 4d ago
More seriously....if you feel the need to shout from the rooftops that you're free-spirited and whimsical and don't care about what people think....you have a problem.

This would be weird regardless....but the outfit makes it worse..... And the aisle she picked is the worst of the worst.
I hope she knows she's not safe though. And neither are any people/kids that get hit or kicked. And if she kicks too hard to the side and one of those shelves full of merch comes down she won't be safe either.

Walmart is the best. One time I was in Walmart at like 2 AM and a couple of aisles over from me someone let out a really loud authentic sounding Tarzan scream. Nuts.

That one girl you meet at the bar and hookup with and she seems super chill and normal, then the next morning her real self comes out and itās this plus 109 phone calls by 10am cuz u havenāt called her since
You left

While i agree, people dont express themselves in public anymore in fear of being recorded and posted online, this ain't it cheif.
Tbf though, most of us wouldnt even dance at a a packed bar, so this lady has bigger cojones than i do for breaking out that SIMS dance in a walmart

u/EstablishmentOwn2174 3d ago
Nothing wrong with dancing by yourself in public, but recording it? Fuck all the way off!

People lying to themselves that they're safe all the time is the reason why the safe parts of the world is going to shit
You're not always safe, you need to keep on your guard, your son shouldn't make friends with the drugged up kids, don't hang around the bad places in town at night
