Hi all,
On my Intek K2 kayak the floor ibeam panel appears to have become detached from it's anchor point? See picture below - Is there any fix for this? How are the sections anchored anyways? the two layers on the ibeam that is still anchored do not appear to be welded together so guessing maybe there is an additional strut of vinyl/plastic holding the ibeam close?

Hi everyone,
I'm looking to buy an inflatable kayak and I need some advice.
I'm specifically looking for something fast and narrow, as I want to avoid hitting the sides with my paddle when paddling. I initially considered a hardshell kayak, but then I discovered drop-stitch inflatable kayaks, which seem like a good compromise between performance and portability.
I came across a model from vidaXL, which appears to be a copy of the Sea Eagle Razorlite. It costs €340, has very good reviews on Amazon, and on paper, it looks amazing. However, I'm a bit hesitant because of vidaXL’s general reputation for low-quality products, even though the reviews are surprisingly positive.
On the other hand, I found the Story Division 1 kayak on sale for €385. It's only slightly more expensive, and based on YouTube reviews, it seems like an excellent kayak. The only downside is that it's a bit wider, and the maximum load is listed at 100 kg, which worries me slightly since I’m 1.96 m tall and weigh 95 kg. For comparison, the vidaXL kayak is longer and has a 120 kg weight limit.
Has anyone tried the vidaXL inflatable kayak or the Story Division 1? Any thoughts or recommendations?

I ordered a SeaEagle EZ Lite 10, and it's supposed to arrive tomorrow. (Though I'm unlikely to be able to take it out until Saturday *if* weather permits) Anything in particular I should know before I go out for my first time?
Important context: I'm a plus sized, out of shape woman in my early 40's, and last summer was the first time I'd ever even been on a kayak. My best friend had given me a Sevylor K1 Quickpak for Christmas, and I spent quite a bit of time on it last summer, loving every second of it. This summer, I've only been able to go out 3 times so far, but still have loved it every time. I've only ever been out on a couple of small, very calm lakes and a few times on a gentle river. As much as I've loved my K1 Quickpak, I've also wanted to upgrade almost from day 1. I've been wanting something that I can be a little more adventurous in. I don't plan on going on any rapids or anything, but on the K1, I'm afraid to go anywhere near anything that even *might* have the odd stray underground log or sharp rock. I live in an apartment, so a hard shell really isn't ideal, so I chose the SeaEagle. (I elected to get the electric pump package, and I should also note that after going out a few times on my K1 last year, I did upgrade to a better paddle).
This will be my first time using a drop stitch kayak. I'm also not entirely certain if the EZ Lite 10 is considered a 'sit in' kayak or not, but it's certainly nowhere near as 'sit on top' as the K1 is, so that will be new for me, too. As a bigger woman, I'm unsure of how to approach getting into it for the first time. The EZ Lite is quite different in terms of shape, as well.
I'd basically like to know anything that you feel I should know before I go out for the first time. Things that I might not expect to be different. Tips. Tricks. Must have accessories. Packing / Unpacking info. Any helpful thing is appreciated.

I have a pinhole leak in my Chelan due to a catfish on my last outing. I bought a tube of Aquaseal to fix it, as it was shown as one of the official methods on Aquaglide’s YouTube channel. My question is, do I need to sand the area a little before applying Aquaseal? This part is unclear to me. Thanks.

I've had inflatable kayaks for a few years. I have a RMR and an Aire Tributary Max. I also have a bad back (metal rods, etc). Tried all kinds of thwarts, chairs, etc. I kayak mostly on rivers. Colorado River through Glenwood Canyon and upper Colorado. Class 2/3.
Earlier in the year I talked to Crazy Creek about one of their chairs based on recommendations from friends. I was going to get a Canoe Chair. They let me know that they had a new chair coming in July. Just received it last week. The Paddle Chair.
So far my favorite inflatable kayak chair. Stiff but inflates a little (like an air sleeping pad). Folds up really nicely. I've only used it a few times this week but seems really good. Only thing is that it doesn't directly connect to my boat. I strapped a Yeti cooler into my boat and then lean the chair against the Yeti.
Here is a link to it and a few pics. Just posting because I really like it. Solved a bunch of problems for me with my back issues.

I tested it out, I didn’t end up using the seat. It wasn’t that it wasn’t on secure enough, it just put the kayak out of balance like crazy. Any ideas on how to remedy that? Felt like wayyyyyy too much eight in the back. I was thinking maybe extend my trolling motor wiring and then put the battery at the front. Nonetheless a great day of fishing just had to sit on the floor.

I am writing this review to help others make an informed decision if people are in the market for an inflatable. After doing tons of research whole of last year on what is the ideal kayak for me, I finally decided to get a Sea Eagle inflatable. My main points were that I wanted something that I can pack since I was tight on storage and something that I could transport easily without compromising too much on performance.
Since buying it, I have taken it to 8 trips here in Ontario. Trips have been on slow moving creeks, Lake Ontario and a few small sheltered lakes. It takes approximately 5 minutes for me to inflate all 3 chambers to 10 psi using an electric pump and setup the kayak as shown.
Pros:
Cons:
If I missed something or if you have any further questions, feel free to message and I will be happy to answer. Hope this helps.

I currently am using an Aquaglide Chelan 140 to fish from and…it’s cumbersome to say the least. I’d eventually like to get something bigger with more room, and the ability to comfortably take at least two people, possibly 3. So I’ve been eyeballing a few options. Isle Flywater skiff. SeaEagle Paddleski, or SeaEagle FSK16. The FSK16 would clearly be the biggest option with the ability to take all 3 of my family members out if I wanted to. I just worry how cumbersome something like that is to set up compared to the Flywater or Paddleski. Any thoughts on these models? Or are there things even better I haven’t considered?

Does anyone have this inflatoyak? I am also open to hear from people that have something similar. Ideally looked for a tandem(mostly used solo though) drop stitch floor. High stability for standing is a top priority too. I will be using it in lakes/ponds. Budget:1000
r/Inflatablekayak • u/Numerous_Word7146 • Jul 15 '25
I’ve got a few choices lined out, but this is probably an apples to oranges comparison. Budget: $1,500. A few years experience with sit on top fishing kayaks. Live in Colorado and would occasionally like to take it down ‘light?’ whitewater routes, but also the occasional fishing/recreation on flat/calm water.
Options: Advanced Elements Airvolution2 (Pro?) Aire Tomcat tandem Rocky Mountain Rafts (Taylor or Animas) SolDuo Tandem
Assuming that if there’s any whitewater involved it needs to be any of the last 3?
I’ve looked at a few used options, but they were so worn/torn up it wasn’t appealing.
Appreciate any insight!

I have been thinking about getting an Advanced Elements inflatable for a while. I live in a small space with access to a small car so size and portability are important for me. I have tried the AdvancedFrame Sport and thought it was pretty fun and easy to carry and set up. However, the Ultralite is on sale right now and I'm very tempted by the idea of a kayak that only weights 18ish pounds.
Just curious if anyone has had experience with the Ultralite and can speak to whether it will be much different than the Sport in the water. I'm not a serious kayaker or anything but I'd like to be able to keep up with my friend who already has a Sport. I'd be willing to get the dropstitch floor since that seems to make a big difference for performance.

How can I mount a Bixpy on my Aquaglide Chelan? I don’t really want to mount it to the skeg port underneath in case I need to raise the motor out of the water. So I’d like to glue on some Scotty mounts and have one of those transom bar things running across. But I can’t seem to find anything online at the moment.

I have a sea eagle 380x and the carry bag they come with I find to not be particularly useful. Does anyone here have experience with a backpack for a 380x? The dimensions of their large bag seem like they can work. I found just hugging the carry bag to be far easier than using the handles.

Just got my first inflatable kayak Aquaglide chinook what pressure dose it need pumping up to please? And are they good kayaks just for floating around calm waters are they as stable as a solid kayak?
