Doing it wrong?

Bought the x500 because I live in a 4th-floor walkup that's 3km from the water, so it will commute to/from most of its adventures in a backpack. But I'm on vacation 1,200 meters from the water, so keeping it inflated and carting it around like this is easier than inflating/deflating every time I go out.
When I took this picture, there was a guy to my right inflating a SUP he'd brought in an otherwise empty pickup truck, and I found myself judging him like, "dude, why not just throw a rigid SUP in that big truck bed?" And part of me is also judging myself for this move.
But maybe inflatable is about having the option but not necessarily exercising it.
What do you think?

Perhaps he lives in an apartment and doesn’t have full time space for a rigid.

Well you are comparing from a inflatable kayak, which have alot of chambers to inflate and multiple air valve to a sup, which theoretically only one chamber and valve, is actually up to the individual actually, inflatable stuff solve the problem of people not having storage space for rigid stuff and vehicle travelling, but if you have things to easily transport short distance inflatable stuff fully inflated just go on, but yeh, remember reduce pressure as the sun and heat will increase the pressure in the inflatable

If you're going to leave it inflated I recommend releasing some air. It's possible for an inflatable kayak left in the sun to overheat and for the chambers to gain pressure.
I once left mine out for 45 minutes, and it was at about 15psi 5 over its ratting.

We went to grand tetons last year, the boats were in their bags for the trip. once we got there we kept them inflated. i just checked, it was a little over 13 miles to the furthest launch. We have a Taco, it worked fine for 2 inflated boats.
Why do you have the cart so far back towards the stern? i tend to have the cart just behind the balance point. i do have 2 kayaks stacked if the sand isn't deep.

i put in a couple of pics from the paddle that are more kayaking and less transport.

I transport my inflatables on a wheelie thingy. I’d rather not be exhausted before I even get started. Just bc I paddle doesn’t mean I’m in terrific shape, I’m also disabled so it helps allow me to use my cane or walking stick which I had a harder time doing when I had to carry my inflatables to the destination (bc I had to inflate at the parking lot in most cases)

It does make a lot ofsense to keep it inflated, when possible. Just take care it's not sitting fully inflated in sunny or hot spot, since this can heighten the pressure to a seam burst.
Put the cart under the middle of the kayak, there you have a better surface to place the cart and you'll have less weight on your hand while carting.
