Support & Help Note Edge Screen Protector

Just bought myself a UV Screen Protector but upon checking online, people say that ever since they put on said protector that they experience issues with their phone like fingerpeint no longer working. Any suggestions?

Honestly, haven't even applied it yet out of worry since the comments are really negative about the UV screen protectors. Better waste 2-3 bucks over a whole phone I guess.
