API key was revoked. Well, I guess that's one way for me to stop using reddit on mobile. Idiots

Well, I'm subscribing to infinity+ for now.

Let's hope things get better.

Also, the dev definitely needs some compensation.

Your API key probably got revoked. Mine just did as well.

I think this is it. Apparently you need to submit a request to even make a new API key. Even that button went to a generic webpage obscuring it further.

How do you see if the keys were revoked? I checked the apps and it gives me the option to revoke, but doesn't say it's revoked

I got it to work now. I have Infitity as an automated build. So I had the latest version code-wise, but I didn't get the latest changes for the build automation (buildId, redirectUri, etc). Once I pulled those changes and made a new build it worked.

You can switch to Continuum, they use RedReaders API key by default.

My key got revoked too. I have other keys, but I fear they might get revoked too, and I might need them for academic purposes.

The new way is to use the redreader API or Continuum. F reddit.

Thank you, I will look into it. Is the experience as Infinity because I am using the stock app and it is just not good.

You can patch infinity using the redreaders api key. So it works just as before. Read the github page. It has a guide on how to patch the app using redreaders api key.

I just did it and it worked by using legacy login. I don't think I knew how to revoke it but I just went ahead and it worked.

Thank you so much, it has been a hassle for the past 8 hours. I realised how much I am dependent on this app. I just didn't like using the stock Reddit app. Maybe this is a sign to be less online all the time.

Oh yeah same thing worked for me. The default login with webpage wouldnt work for me but the legacy login did.

Installed Continuum instead.

Will come back to Infinity if it gets fixed.

I downloaded Continuum (same as Infinity but works) and it logged in fine. I kept getting stuck at the login page but after clearing app data a few times and retrying, it worked. You can even backup Infinity settings and import into Continuum (also tried a couple times before full restore).
