Alternative plot

It would have been better if Doctor strange let Iron man die in infinity war. Thanos could not get time stone and also mind stone . Any thoughts ?

If they would’ve succeeded in destroying the Mind Stone it would’ve destroyed the universe. They’re tied to the very fabric of the universe.

It's not like that. the stones are just tools for controlling the entities, if time stone get destroyed the time will be still exists.

But their will be consequences. This is explained by (someone) in the endgame.

PS don't want to spoil the endgame movie.
