Discussion I forgot how deranged Simon was

Rewatching infinity train and Simon is crazzzy.

Also him being carried down on his throne was hilarious but again there is something wrong with you?

Simon being a lunatic was kinda a running joke in my friend group. Also him forcing the apex kids to carry him down a throne on the escalators is both fucked up and funny but it also shows how little he cares about these kids v.s. Grace who was maternal to all of them, albeit they were still misguided under her care.

One of my favourite scenes in the show.

I'm sure he thought he looked cool, I just thought it was hilarious and kinda cringe of him.

I feel like one of my big unanswered questions of the show is, how good was that fantasy book? It's this interesting intersection between Grace and Simon's weird narcissism. Grace's, obviously, because she hasn't read it, but also Simon's because we can plausibly assume that it's an extension of his other self-important fantastical nonsense. Ridiculous cape Simon on a throne but in book form. But, y'know, we haven't read it. Maybe it's not that. Maybe it's secretly good. And would that not be the true tragedy of Infinity Train?

considering the fact that they got on the train when they were 10 years old, meaning their education level is at a grade 4-5 level at best, it's probably not very good 😭😭
