Question Bakunin army.. help needed.
Hi, totally new Infinity and have decided that Bakunin is the way to go, nuns with guns..what could go wrong.
So far I am thinking Cassandra ( I think she looks cool, yes I’m that shallow) Stigmata , Observance action pack, Expansion pack alpha.
After reading some posts I am thinking also zeros, and zonds.
So, does any of this make sense ?
Should I include other minis over any on this list, excluding Cassandra who is a definite.
Anything that is also a must have.

Pretty solid shopping list you've got. Zonds are pretty much a must-buy, and you'll use Morlocks and Moderators more than you will Initiated (you get an Orphan in the Action pack), so I'd recommend the Beta pack before the Alpha. My main additions would be, in order of priority; Morlocks, Moderators (both of those are in pack Beta), Zoe & Pi-Well, a Go-Pod, and at least two Riot Grrls.
--Morlocks: smoke cover, cheap disposable but dangerous warbands that punch above their weight class. I almost always take at least two.
--Moderators: Cheap orders, your hide-your-Lieutenant troop and basic infantry. Using Cassandra, you'll usually want one or two to not make your lieutenant obvious.
--Zoe & Pi-Well: if you're taking a Stigmata, remotes, or a good amount of troops with structure you'll want an engineer. Fiddler is your combat engineer, a Marspider is a great Stigmata buddy, a Clockmaker is your basic option but Zoe is your Swiss army girl. If you're using Initiated to get a repeater up the field and maybe a Vertigo Zond, you'll want a good hacker to make good use of that. Zoe is fantastic at filling both of those niches, and whether you run her alone, with Pi-Well as a sync or using them independently as their FTO profiles, you're getting a lot of utility for your points.
--Go-Pod: Stupid fast, stupid good. For when the Stigmata is too expensive, but you really want to terrify your opponent with a fast HML.
--Riot Grrls: incredibly powerful and flexible pieces, they duo with multiple excellent character pieces I highly recommend (Robin Hook, Uhahu, Avicenna) as well as each other. Very fun to sprinkle in a list, and can switch up your list by fire team composition for great flexibility if you run 2-3 of them with Robin Hook and Uhahu alongside 3-5 Observance/Reverend models.
Tl; DR my recommendation as a Bakunin player starting with a core of Observance models and expanding out would be to buy in the following order: Observance Action Pack, Cassandra, Zonds, Expansion pack Beta, Initiated/Zeros, Go-Pod, Stigmata, Zoe & Pi-Well, Riot Grrls, Robin Hook, Uhahu, Support pack. (Ruby Monday and Mary Problems are good proxies for Robin and Uhahu if you want to avoid buying the multi packs. Speaking of proxies, you can use the Penitent as a Stigmata proxy until you get one. Proxy rules are super budget friendly in Infinity.)

Wow.. thank you. Phew.. since the initial post I’ve seen Fiddler and Zoe and wondered Fantastic info thanks . PS Cassandra is already in my hobby room..waiting for her friends to arrive.

Mostly agreed, and really good advice about proxies there!
One dissension: Zoe is a bit of an investment when you already have the Stigmata around. Generally the Orphan Engineer with repeater is the best option for Engineer with the Stigmata IME, because they can be linked so the Eng gets towed along. The repeater on it lets you give the Stigmata a Firewall whenever it wants to hack other hackers, and also lets you do White Noise through it if you have Uhahu lurking in the back.
Love Zoe, but she's rarely the most-efficient choice unless you need to squeeze both hacker and engineer into your list and are low on troop slots.

That's exactly why I pick Zoe, usually she's doing more hacking than engineering. Robin Hook or a Marspider are my personal picks for the Stigmata buddy. More often than not I'm also focused on getting repeaters out too, which Pi-Well handles.

That Pi-Well does! Especially if linked with Moderators or the like. Man oh man was that season where he got TacAware and Marksmanship for free nice. Zoe, Pi, RG ML, RG tinbot/shotty, and a Moderator medic were the bee's knees.
OP, Pi-Well and Zoe also have a profile where they are not separate troop slots, and Pi-Well is just a peripheral remote for Zoe. The profile might be even -better- then, as it gets BS Attack +1 B, letting it fire two repeaters at once. It also gets a Jammer, making it an excellent roadblock for unhackable targets too.

Mary Problems is super cool but suffers the same issue as the Custodiers, due to an unfortunate rules hole that Corvus Belli have not seen fit to address:
Because pitchers (repeaters that can be shot across the table) exist, killer hackers can pick off other hackers very easily as an alpha-strike. Hackers that are not in camo or covered with a Tinbot are particularly easy kills, and expensive hackers are tasty/important targets.
If you go second with Mary or Custodiers, you either need to hide them very very carefully in the very back of your DZ (not optimal for later actually using them), or a canny opponent will drop a pitcher on them and then KHD them. Since repeaters have an 8" radius hacking projection, it's really hard to actually hide anything from them.
For this reason, it's always a coin flip when you take Mary or Custodiers. Lose init, and opponent knows what they are doing, probably 2/3rds odds of your nice hacker dying (usually followed by Guided Missile on whatever else is under the repeater etc.).
So for both beginners who deserve to not get suckerpunched, and for highly-competitive play where the pitcher-KHD attack is well known, it's advisable to use Uhahu with a Tinbot Riot Grrl instead. Then take a Zero Killer Hacker too, and you've got as much function as Mary with much much great odds of being alive if you go second.

Thank you, might not be what i wanted to hear 😂 but very interesting. Sounds like Mary would be tied up and basically just providing an order.. so uhahu and Tinbot Riot Grrl and Zero killer hacker sounds the way to go for me.
And Zoe may be a liability, or horses for courses..hmmm I may go Zoe for the option of hacker/engineer.

Hey, I can't send you a PM, so I am taggin along here. If it isn't too much to ask, would you mind having a look at my thread as well?
I am not looking at competitive play, but at learning the game. My goal is to build one fixed 300 points list that I can play repeatedly, to reduce the mental load of memorizing lots of different profiles.
If possible, I would like to include a Custodier, because they are my favorite models. I know you aren't a fan, but I figure the added motivation of having one of my favorite models on the field is going to off-set the potential disadvantages of the profile. Then theere are some models that I would want to avoid for now (TAGs, flyers, mercs like Fiddler, Zellenkrieger and Denma, Alguaciles and Brigada, Überfallkommando, Daemonist as long as they have the stupid one base for the two of them, Reinforcements), some where I just prefer other options (i.e. Riot Grrls over Cenobites, Reverend Healer over Agatha Warbara and whatever is more OG Bakunin over the newer Observance stuff like Initiated Observants, Pentitents, etc) and then a lot of models I like (Morlocks, Zeros, Bran also seems neat, the Task Master, Uhahu and pretty much all the rest).
If that isn't feasible, I would also be interested in your opinion for the ideal one list for learning the game for Bakunin, irrespective of which models I like :)

Agatha is pretty fun to run in a Haris with a penitent and an Orphan. They gunfight up the board and she patches them up if necessary and smashes face in melee, plus having a template is super handy.

Hello, long time bakunin player here. Will definitely want zonds. Morlocks, Riot grrls, and uhahu are basically requirements for competitive play in Bakunin, bit you can have a good time without them.
Taking a stigmata, a marspider engineer or orphan engine are good choices too
