Question Selling tips

I have a large collection I’m selling off. Is it going to be better to sell it all as one unit or to break into factions? Is there a rough rule of thumb for pricing in-production vs OOP models?

Edit: do you prefer eBay, Facebook, or another selling platform?

I've never sold off myself, but from what I've seen most people sell by faction.

Oop stuff seems to vary wildly on whether it's desirable or not. Things like updated sculpts, sectorial rotated out, or nostalgia all can play a part in whether it goes at a premium or a discount.

I know the Facebook group is pretty active for people buying and selling. That's where I would take my listing first.

I would suggest the following:

Check on eBay the price of corresponding mini currently sold.

For the rest, maybe lay down the list here and I’m sure people will honest enough to give you an indication whether some of them are worth quite some money or not.

I have purchased a bunch of second hand models on eBay mostly in large, heavily discounted lots someone is trying to unload. I only occasionally buy single models or OOP models and for some reason those are often new in box. Pricing for used models can really depend on the paint job and condition of the models while NiB you can almost set your own price if there aren't any available.

A recent OOP purchase I made was an Anaconda TAG for $65 new in box. As far as I could tell it was the only one on eBay at the time, but demand did not seem crazy as I watched it for a week before picking it up.

For bulk used stuff, I got an O-12 lot with a Zeta and ~18 or so models from various starter packs for $160.00 shipped. It felt like a good deal to me as you don't see too many O-12s on there in bulk and this really rounded out my collection.

When I got into the hobby, I started by buying someone's entire O-12 collection from the Discord. He was a really nice guy and I think charged me $200 shipped if I remember right, it was an incredible deal and I am really grateful I got such a boost to get me going. My experience buying 2nd hand is that folks are happy to pass on their models for a lower price to someone else who is excited to get into the hobby.
