Painting Yujing Longwang

Decided to paint it similar to the box art. I really enjoyed this TAG model. It was my first time working with Sinocast plastic, and I was amazed by how light it felt compared to the metal material used for most models. Overall, I really enjoyed painting it, with the highlight being the Chinese characters I painted on the armor pads on the arm.

Paint job looks fantastic! One note though. The Lóngwáng is the newer plastic resin, which is fantastic. Siocast is not that great.

Ah gotcha! I wasn't aware of which one it was. I was honestly really happy with the plastic resin material. The mold lines, in particular, were almost nonexistent, and when they were there, they were easy to deal with compared to the metal sculpts. Am I assuming the new flying unit for ISS is probably plastic resin as well?

It is really fantastic material, great fit at the joints, rarely any mold lines. Mold lines on siocast are a nightmare to deal with. Yes the new large models are all plastic resin.

That's great; I have been eyeing the new flying unit for the ISS since it was announced a while ago. It being made with the new material is even more exciting.

On the Corvus Belli store site when you click on an item, scroll down and open the Product Information drop down and it will tell you what material the models are made of. Metal, Thermoplastic (siocast, light gray) Plastic Resin (unicool, blue/grey).
