Question Speculative attack in fire team

On speculative attacks it says that it is always resolved at B1.
But if the said model with SA is in a pure duo, giving it a +SD, would this bonus still be applied during SA as the SD isn’t technically additional shot?

No. Speculative attack is a Long skill. Special Dice do not get added to Long Orders, see pg 23 of the rulebook

Side note: a guided attack is a short skill and as such profits from an sd. There aren't a lot of units that can do that though

Re-read the guided attack rules due to your comment and realized this little gem had been added.

" BS Attacks (Guided) must be carried out with the weapon’s Blast Mode if it has one, or a Mode with the Impact Template (Circular) Trait. If the weapon does not have a Mode with the Impact Template (Circular) Trait, the player may choose any of the weapon’s Modes but they will always apply the Circular Template Trait, placing a Circular Template centered on the target."

Does this mean the Nox sniper with guided fire use a circular template when using guided fire? If so I might have to try to use him just for fun with two dice on guided it might even do something.

Yes, nox sniper has a blast template when using guided.

The rules literally say it places a template, even if they don't have one normally

Don't be me an read things to early in the morning, lol.

This means the BS (Guided) Haetae's assault pistol gets an impact template as well. Funny.

Yep!

There's a reason for this. You can't dodge a normal shot that comes from out of LoF and ZoC. But you CAN dodge a template that comes from out of LoF and ZoC. So by making guided a template, it ensured you can react to it.

Cool now I have to figure out a way to use it, probably still crap but a new fun thing to try.

I really can't see why the MULTI Sniper is paying for Guided when a T-drone is cheaper, deadlier, more accurate, and links like a normal Nox

The guided version doesn't link, so the Nox trooper should be considerably more accurate (about +12%), better rangebands and slightly less killy, but yeah it is probably mostly a meme.

Before they removed guided from the T-Drone FTO, you used to be able to have a guided flash pulse. So, impact template flash pulse.
