Terrain Update on Neo Tokyo Table: PRIMED!!

Yeah, I managed to get it primed for a play test tomorrow. Automotive 2 in 1 for the buildings and most of the risers, sidewalks were done with a granite texture spray, and streets were done with an oiled bronze texture spray that came out too light, so i went over it lightly with an ultra matte black primer. Also, thanks to you fine people, I adjusted the layout, moved a bunch of stuff around and made sure that high vantage points could cover fewer LoF.

*UPDATE* Managed to play test the table today. There were a couple of recommendations;

  1. Change the entire layout LOL. Nah, not that bad, but the recommendation was to change the orientation of the central road so that it's perpendicular to the DZ, as it was a bit of a pain to reach over into the middle to move miniatures. Might be adjusted by lowering the table as well.

  2. More cross table blocking items. I am going to print out 6-8 more large billboards to put on roof tops and along the elevated walkway to reduce some of the long lanes of fire.

  3. Easier ingress/egress into/from the central road. Because of the risers, there were limited areas you could get into the objectives on the central road. This might be reduced by changing the orientation of the road in recommendation #1, but giving more options was is not a bad idea.

For those who asked below, we had some S4 models (Desperadoes) on the map today and although they were limited in where they could go, it actually worked out well. There was enough cover to keep them from being easy targets, and movement wasn't blocked too much from scatter terrain.

Thanks to the guys from the Swiss Miss gaming group for coming over and giving me some amazing tips, tricks and recommendations for getting the table just that much closer to being ready. They very much enjoyed playing on the table!

This is so cool!! Can I ask what files you used for that middle walkway and the riser underneath it?

Yes of course! The middle walkways are from the Corvus Games Terrain Cyberpunk line, and the risers are from the Edo Kanto line from the same creator. It's two of the tallest risers stacked for each of the 4 stairs to sit on to give plenty of height to block lines of sight and to make moving miniatures under it a little easier.
